  1. Thank you a lot dear @Ayashe Ninetails for your hints. Yes, I walked around several places and indeed I was all alone!. I couldn't find anyone there!. So, that's why I decided to make this post in the forum. Thank you again!
  2. No, i sincerely dont think that you have a go at me and I do appreciate what you and @Lindal Kidd described. Obviously, my phd is not about tourism and SL, that would be a lost game! My phd is about the concept of phygital tourism destinations: destinations which operate in parallel in the physical world and in the metaverse. Such destinaqtions do not exist yet, there are some first attempts from hotel brands to create their digital twins. In the future this will expand to the entire destination level. My questions have mainly to do with charasteristics and potential of virtual worlds related to tourist demands. It's really a waste of time to ask physical world entrepreneurs, as they have not the slightest idea about metaverse or virtuaql worlds. I strongly believe that users of SL or any other alike platform could contribute to my research. I hope it's clearer now
  3. Thank you for your reply dear @Lindal Kidd Yes, what you say is absolutely true, physical world tourism differs a lot from tourism in SL. But I believe that people who work with ''tourists'' in SL are the only ones who can answer my questions about metaverse (not specifically about SL) and tourism. Tourism entrepreneurs in the physical world would barely understand any of my questions, let alone answering them...
  4. Hello dear resident @CaithLynnSayes well I was pretty sure too that a lot of people will tell me to spend time online. And, honestly, I'm going to spend a lot of time online and all interviews are going to be avatar-to-avatar, not via skype or social media or I dont know what else it could be. I wish anybody else could do the research for me, as you said, but it's a phd research, it takes a lot of time (years) and a lot of data to be gathered. Interviews is just the easy step, the data collection. analysis and dissertation writing will take more than one and a half year, so I guess you realise that there's no hope anybody else do the thing for me. Interviews is just the very first step that i cannot do it all alone. So, please, if you can recommend any person who runs or work at a tourism enterprise, it's be of great help to me.
  5. Hello dear everyone! I'm Stelios (rl name) and am a tourism marketing researcher. I am running a research on tourism marketing in the metaverse and I'm in the need of some interviews with hotel owners, receptionists, travel agents or hotel bloggers (in general people involved in tourism). Those interviews will help me with my dissertation and I'd be glad to share the results with you once I'm done with the analysis. Please, if you have involved in tourism sector in SL or if you know a person who does, please come in contact with me, it'd be of great great help! Interviews will be conducted in SL at any location/date/time would be convenient for you. Very looking forward to your contacting me, Stelios - Aegean
