  1. Ah I made this mistake on reddit too ;/ also, if I'm not mistaken, it seems the machinima section discourages recruiting people for projects, but thanks anyways!
  2. Hi, I’m fairly new to SL so apologies if this not the appropriate forum... anyone interested in participating in a documented virtual dérive (small groups wandering and reflecting through an urban landscape)? The goal here would be to try to facilitate unique engagements with the SL environment by allowing the surrounding architecture and geography of the city (exact one tbd) to subconsciously direct the path of the unplanned journey. As wanderers (groups of 3), we will be interacting with not just the surrounding environment but also amongst ourselves (with verbal reflections and dialogue) and any people we may encounter. I will also be making a machinima of the exercise but desperately need some interested participants (and not really sure how to find people). I though to post here as the purpose of the project is in part to create new connections with people by experimenting with this social exercise. (TBH, I only found out about SL through a visual anthropology course but am also genuinely interested in making online connections/friends beyond that) I’m hoping to do this sometime within the next week or two, depending on when people are free to participate. Please DM me or comment if you or anyone you know might be interested!
  3. Hi, I'm fairly new to Second Life so a little unsure of how best to reach out to people. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in participating (virtually, in SL ofc) in a machinima (virtual, in-world film) that aims to document a dérive (small groups wandering and reflecting through an urban landscape). This is for a visual anthropology final that is due fairly soon so any kind of participation (whether you are experienced or new) would be much appreciated. I’m hoping to do this sometime within the next week or two, depending on when people are free to participate. Please dm me or comment if you or anyone you know might be interested!
