Thanx Coffee, I am aware of and have both badger and ublock installed. I was asking to verify whether that was the case (the stream service itself tracking) or if SL was sharing my location. If it were SL I'd be much more concerned. Considering what I get up to in sl I hardly want that sort of thing ending up in the hands of third parties, rofl.

I noticed and a friend verified she noticed that when listening to streaming music we both often get ads targeted to our location in rl. For example, I've been getting tons of ads by someone running for gov in my state. How is this done? How does the stream know where we're located in real?
