I would argue the bonniebot site is illegally ran through sl, as its more than 50 bots owned by one end user, sometimes bypassing the rules about bots in residential areas and sims and violating privacy on a consistent basis. i have proof of the user who owns the bots and his useage, as his bot sends a LOT of private data to excell sheets and only posts up the data that he's "legally" allowed to distribute. privacy data collected includes IP addresses, all attachments of detected users, name, description and location data for parcels, picks, comments, profiles of detected users, etc.
As a general advisement, to minimize this kind of data grabbing, yes, minimize any data on your accounts that these bots can access and others like them. Sim owners should take every opportunity to add these bots to their ban lists when possible, as it affects all users of your sims. This may be an old topic, but these bots and their user are still active and i feel that as all data in your profile should be General Rated, i agree that any and all private, non-general personal data or information should be removed from your profiles. for others as well as yourselves.
