I came across these adorable palms from Tarte. They have a lower land impact option with them, so even resized quite big they are only 2L and with lights on/off option and four leaf colour options. For me these have been the closest colour wise and quality wise that I am so happy with. I even modified them and just kept the palm front part to use as a bush at just 1 LI each.

Ohh thanks for pointing these out!

They are cheaper in-store than on the marketplace, for anybody looking to grab them.

If your home style of choice is in plentiful supply you should hang around your property wait for someone else to claim it then try for another. Whenever I've done that with GoH I've never had the same home twice

That's usually what I do, but sometimes whoever grabs it will abandon it again immediately, or RNG is like "Screw you" and people get other ones other than that one.

It is no sign of the drizzle of new houses stopping, and we are well into Christmas now?

The houses came steady all night between Dec. 24 and 25th. I checked now, early Christmas morning SL time.

I believe it goes much smoother now than Patch's last update, and they decided to let it run?

Don't think so, I think it's the same houses that were already in the pool. I'm still seeing the same regions saying "Protected Land" and the same ones saying "Linden Home". The OL ones are just being mostly ignored, and any stilt and waters are probably being abandoned for one reason or another while people wait for more opportunities.
Could also be there are plenty of people away for the Holidays, so things aren't going as quickly as they normally would.

Ok. I rolled and got one on water and it is a nice spot. I opted for an on-water plot because I have boats. I will keep it and play with it for awhile. I am wondering if there is a post for the railings or if I am missing it in the content creation pack? If not I will have to make one

Great spot! No posts for the railings unfortunately.

OK, it doesn't look like anyone else has written about this, so this post is one for the 'Some People Have Too Much Time On Their Hands Department'.

I've been tracking ~50 regions that have houses on piers/boardwalks, and have noticed that in the 15 or so of those regions that have been released, all the pier houses have been taken, but in most of them the houses on land are all still designated as Linden Home. So, it appears that either this option is spectacularly unpopular or, more likely, not all homes within a region have been released as a group. I've also noticed that in the majority of the unreleased regions I've been tracking, all the homes have the status of Protected Land, so I assume these regions will not be released until after the holidays. However, I did find 5 regions (containing a mix of house types) where all the houses are labelled Linden Home, and I suspect these may be in a queue for release before LL folk are back at work in full force: Edriss, Leaky Hold, Long Pier, Lorelei, Shore Thing. There may be more.

I think a big thing is that the land-locked ones are not as private feeling out back as having water. Sure your over-water can be facing somebody else's house.. 10 feet away.. but it's water. People always want water.

I have seen some beautiful land houses along the water that have yet to be taken, though. I have a pier house, but it's overall kind of stale given there's no landscaping around it at all (and also the red lamps on my pier when all else within a 1000mile radius are green? My pier feels too "Red Lobster"/New England-ish for the tropics and it bothers the crap out of me. Will probably end up derendering the darn things.

Hoping the moles give the edge of the cabin area a tropical flare at the water's edge(since a mountain divides it anyway), but i'm not getting my hopes up. It'd be about the only thing many on that western side could look at.

Re-reading Patch's last status update, I interpret it to mean that no additional regions will be released after today's until after the holidays, timed release or not. Looks like it's time to start decorating for Christmas where I am.

    *******

Well, I've been watching the map and decided it was finally time to jump in. Got one on Blue Marlin that isn't for me, but tomorrow is another day. (Now just crossing all appendages hoping that my other fave region isn't released in today's drip feed.)

That's how it sounded to me as well, but considering how often the regions are going, you and I both might see our dream regions go on without us. Unless the releases stop soon.

  7. Good ol' Westley.

If the moles were to decorate that beach on the other side with some palms.. it'd likely be a keeper.

My dream home for these is in TradingPost, but those chances would be slim to none.

  8. Biggest thing about them for me is your view will almost always have big clusters of houses, and some places look quite messy. I don't want somebody else's porch 10 feet away from mine. I want a little distance, but also don't want to feel alone. Orientation and placement of things is also important to me. Gonna be an interesting ride.

Thanks - that's a good description of the problems they're experiencing.

I've seen houses disappear on almost every region release ever(that I managed to be in on), but it happening just from merely clicking the post and then it telling me I need Premium when.. obviously I have it, was a new one.

Usually the house goes byebye if you try and change it. It dipped even before then. =D

I knew that but I wasn't expecting them to be gone that quickly. i thought there would be more released at once

Once they get everything working right, if it's anything like the Vic release(maybe the log homes as well?), it'll likely release regions on time intervals, or when everything currently available is taken. It's an automated process at that point, so they won't all go at once.
