Each week, the Second Life Destination Guide editorial team reviews dozens of new locations and events worth exploring. With all those beautiful destinations to check out, we thought we’d highlight a few of the entries that stood out to the editorial team. So in no particular order, here are a few locations on the Destination Guide that we recommend checking out this weekend:
    Finian's Dream
A mystical and beautiful land, based on old Celtic Ireland. Come discover the secrets of the forest as you explore the misty woods, stop by the tavern, see the countryside, and visit a castle. The region was designed by Noralie78.

    The Getaway
A quiet, serene place, where you can reconnect with nature, listen to soothing music, and truly clear your mind. Come dip your toes in the creek, or listen to the waves crashing onto the shore. Grab some free souvenirs to remind you of this peaceful corner. Share your images in their Flickr group: flickr.com/groups/14690706@N22

    The Butterfly Conservatory
Put a spring in your step and step into spring at the gorgeous Butterfly Conservatory, the first and only in Second Life. Opening March 1st, the all-new Butterfly Conservatory is located across from Merge Club and Lounge. Visitors are transported to a tropical paradise full of lush vegetation, trickling waterfalls, and vibrantly colored butterflies.

"In Second Life there are a lot of things that people do, there are parts of Second Life that I have never seen, and often wish that I had more hours in the day. I do not actually mean locations, even though there are so many of them I wish to frequent, but more to do with the communities that have evolved over the years into some of the biggest opportunities for growth than most of us know. One such community is the dancing community," Read more on the blog.

"This is the introduction to Racing the King Tide, a film and website looking at the impact of the 2013 Philippines earthquake that was centred on the island district of Bohol had on the people and islands close to its epicentre. One of these islands – perhaps the most deeply affect of them all – is tiny Ubay, which is the central inspiration for Serene Footman’s latest region design in Second Life, and which opened to the public on March 3rd."
