I had the same problem, and, if I hadn't have also demo'd the Catwa mesh heads as well, I wouldn't have known the solution, which is this: Set the EYE DEPTH of your avatar shape to ZERO in your shape editor. The eyelash alpha clash immediately goes away. Hope I'm not too late to be helpful!
