I never expected to post on a forum in hopes of finding some friends in world.. but here we are. Started SL back in 2004 but my main account is dated 2007 so I have been around for a while. SL used to feel full and exciting but now it just seems empty. I took a break for many years so 98% of my friends list is no longer around. I used to enjoy building back in the day before mesh was introduced and I am currently in to real estate selling mainland. If you have already tried messing with your graphics and you have no luck then you will just have to wait it out until you get another computer. I usually try and stay in low lag areas if I can help it just to make sure I do not over load my computer. When you have a lower quality graphics card that can not handle the amount of information it is being fed from SL you experience a continuous loop reloading textures which causes them to grey and blur. Few suggestions if not already tried: 1) Make sure you are not wearing anything that is heavily scripted or even sometimes mesh.. (HUD as well) 2) Preferences -> Graphics -> Hardware and increased the Texture Memory. 3) Reduce draw distance 4) Disabling HTTP textures by opening the Develop Menu (CTRL+ALT+Q) and unticking HTTP textures. I hope this helps.

I have gone through this process once before.. You will have to either call Linden Lab or open a support ticket. It will most likely be easier to just open a ticket when logged into your account on the Secondlife.com website to bypass the wait time and all of the security questions you will be asked on the phone. When you open a support ticket you will have to choose the appropriate issue you are having and should include the correct information along with a copy of your photo ID (drivers license). As long as your information from your ID matches the information you used to create your account they will allow the change.. If not you are stuck. If your account is not old you could just make a new one.
