    Check for trademarked words, those are autoban = you cannot even list them

  4. I started developing first on IMVU, at the marketplace there you upload your mesh, throw in some texture maps and people can 'derive' from it instead of buying it full perm.

    Then you have all the retextured, retooled version of your mesh that is sold at price no lower than your main copy, and whenever your subsidiary makes a sale you automatically get a cut. So there's a built in digital rights management in place. 

    Assuming a simple case of a picture frame, I can mesh a frame, provide texture maps, set price at 300L$

    Someone who doesn't mesh but knows texturing can derive from it, set price at 450L$

    Every time there's a sale, I get 300L$ and the derivation keeps 150L$

    I am slightly skeptical about selling things full perm but I would love to people profit from retexturing / re-coding with built in DRM.

    Was thinking it would be great for us to get something similar for the MP?

  5. I am going to be the odd guy that likes the Marketplace. 

    It lacks the royalty awards programs etc like Caspervend (you can integrate it but bit of work), 90% of my sales comes from MP and it's a great place if you know how to do product icons. Product icons will decide whether someone actually click in or not. And good stats to gauge conversion rate as well. 

    Also MP is less in-world intensive I only do as much as rezzing a sample for people to check them out in world.

    Great product = Conversion rate 15%+

    Good product = Conversion rate 10%+

    Stuff I would not make another variant for = Conversion rate below 10%

  13. I have seen broken product with 8 x 1 star reviews. Appears to be the guy's last product and he never logged on again and it was never fixed, ships an empty box from what the review says. So to collect the vast unfilled shopping vacuum I made a product that's the same as the icon, boy the sale is amazing.

    Obviously the product icon will do all the selling. Reviews does not seem to deter majority of the shoppers.

  14. TBH just offer them refund guarantee

    Most of them don't ever come for refunds to begin with, I think over the course of one year I have on average two refund requests. So that's like maybe $500-600L

    That's Maybe $2-3 USD, I would rather just pay it off than clogging my catalog with demos

    I do the same personally, if it's something $50L and it kinda sucks I don't bother asking for a refund

    If he hasn't been on for over a year there's higher chance of them selling, just tell the guy you would offer for him to stay for free (so he pays no outgoings) 

    All you need to do is to make other side 'feel' like they got something to gain.

    And just ask him to inform you if he decides to perma quit one day. At least you have the land in your pocket. You cannot trust random neighbours buying, I have three sims and one sim had mid carved out that's used by a farm after the previous guy decided to call it quits and sold it to those isolationist farms
