Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, Rose has always sung. According to Rose, her grandmother did not read bed-time stories to her. She recited poetry and sang songs. When she was in high school she wanted to be a professional singer, but her mother steered her toward teaching. Now in her retirement, SL has given Rose a new opportunity to perform publicly again. Her repertoire includes very old traditional songs, love songs, blues and torch songs and vintage-era oldies. DRESS: ELEGANT TO FORMAL
