[Is Second life still a thing???]

After ten years here, my question is this; "Is anything Outside of SL really still a Thing?"

The title of this thread says it all ;-)  I am looking for good female skin appliers (Demons / Aliens) for the Maitreya Mesh Body and the Lelutka Mesh head.

 

Extra points for a female body applier that has well-defined cleavage or a Head applier that has "cupids-bow" shaping on the lips.

 

Any help is really appreciated!

Please note that the initial bullet - points are far from the ONLY way SL can be interpereted. I don' see any particular view as all - inclusive or exclusive; when dealing with people's subjective opinions....All views are "correct"

 

It's entirely possible for to view SL as a "game" and yet still be considerate of those who do not. The example listed is merely one of a myriad possibilities.

I'm just looking to collect different people's thoughts on what Second Life is,,,,,,

 

I'll list a few perspectives, with the caveat that depending on who you are...."all are correct"

 

Its a Chatroom..... a place where people can get together and talk.  Yahoo Messenger on steroids.

 

Its a Game............a diversion thats not to be taken seriously. Relationships here don't really "count" because its all a game.

 

Its 3D Facebook....an online community where people put "themselves" out there to socialise as an extension of their Real Lives

 

Its an Art Gallery...a place where people can create 3d art that employs visual, sound and motion...for the enjoument of others

 

Its a Market...........a place where people can sell virtual products of various degrees of quality and utility

 

Its wish-fulfillment...a place where people can be anyone or anything and transcend the limitations of Real Life

 

Its..____________..fill in the blank :-)

 

The method to my madness is to get a list of the divergent perspctives on Second Life, so that when people of those different paradigms met and interact, hey can better understand one another better.....

Who knows?  Maybe if people are more aware of how redically different Second Life is for others, we can even minimize the drama that happens when "Its a Game/Brothel" meets "Its my emotional life" .......

I would recommend Argrace and Magika.  Both have similar styles and both sell hair that is resizable.

Pink Fuel and several other skin suppliers offer tattoo-layer breast enhancers / de-hancers that might create what you want.

I prefer Pink Fuel skins.  They have great facial definition (some skins pixelate around the lip-edges), you can add "athletic" musaculture tatts and cleavage enhancers already mached to the skin, and they have applier for SLINK and Lolas mesh attachments.  Pink Fuel is also one of the brands that N-Core mesh shoes will match skintones with.

 

 

 

If you want to buy a shape, Body Doubles is a place to go where you can find variety and also shapes that are matched to specific skins.

I am looking for sims with a decidedly post-apocalyptic or desolate look to them, whose owners would be Ok with me doing a "Post-Apocalypse" photo-shoot on their location.

I will be happy to give location credit when the collection/storyboard goes up on Flickr, if they are looking to help drive traffic to their land or role-play sim.

Unfortunately, as the apocalypse I am storyboarding is near-future, no far-future sci-fi backdrops will work well. :-(

The time involved to shoot each location would be minimal, and can be done during low-traffic periods to minimise disruptions.
