  6. Your best bet is to log in to your PayPal account, click the link that says "View All My Transactions," and you'll see a list of transactions that have been paid through your PayPal account. Find the Second Life transaction and click the "Details" link next to it. Where you see the section that says "Recurring Payment Sent," click on "View Details." Near the top left of that page is a link that says "Cancel." Click that, and your recurring payment should be canceled.
  7. Please come by anytime, Mulana. There are some interesting interactive things to do on our sim, even if no one happens to be there when you visit. You just need to have the meter attached and read the directions: fishing, mining for gold, silver, etc., that you can sell and buy or make things, such as a trap to kill the wild boar that lives in the grasses outside of town, you can shoot the chicken for extra food (he's fast!), etc. And we are connected to over 20 other Old West sims, where you'll find anything from cowboys and saloons to native Indians and their villages. We hope you'll visi

  11. Welcome to Mustang Flats! Mustang Flats is a text-based role-playing sim and is a fictional representation of the wild and untamed territory of the Old West, located on the border between west Texas and eastern New Mexico. Put on your authentic old western duds and come be a part of Mustang Flats as a peaceful law-abiding citizen or an outlaw, a saloon keeper, a banker, or another role that you can dream up in keeping with the theme of the sim. Child avatars are welcome as long as they act like youngins, and animal avatars are also welcome as long as they act like real live critters that wou
  12. Ooops, please disregard my previous post. I just noticed that you had made a later post that you are looking to be a business owner in a roleplay sim (instead of being a minister). Good luck, and I hope you find what you're looking for.
  13. Hi Billy, I've checked out your profile and there is no mention that you are seeking to rp as a minister in a community. You might want to put that in your "About" section, and then join some roleplay sims. Many of the rp sims in SL are themed based (i.e., Old West, medieval, sci-fi, etc.), but there are some that are simply towns where you can live, work, attend church services, hang out and meet people. One of those towns might have a church without a minister. Good luck in your search, Sam
  14. Hi Kiri, Have you checked out any roleplay sims? Most of the rp sims in SL are themed (i.e., Old West, medieval, etc.), but there are some that are simply towns where you live, get a job, hang out with people, sorta like RL, and many of them have family structures. Just use the Search in-world and enter "roleplay" or "city." Good luck!
  15. Welcome back, Evangeline! Have you tried roleplay? Many roleplay sims have family structures. I'm into Old West rp myself, but there are other rp sims out there that do not have a particular theme but are simply a town where you hang out, meet people, get a job, etc. You might try using Search in-world and enter "roleplay." Good luck, and have fun!
  16. Welcome back, Keelin! SL can be a fun and interesting world with so many things to explore. Try using the Search in-world to find places to visit that match your interests. Look for groups too, and sign up to receive group notices so that you'll know if they host events. Hanging out at events is a great way to meet people and make new friends. I'm mostly into roleplay myself (Old West), but there are many kinds of rp sims in SL to discover, if you might be interested in that sort of thing. And many of the rp sims hold OOC (out-of-character) events where you can also make some friends. Good
  17. Hi Panksy, Welcome to Second Life! SL is a fun and interesting world with so many things to explore. Use the Search in-world to find places to visit that match your interests. Look for groups too, and sign up to receive group notices so that you'll know if they host events. Hanging out at events is a great way to meet people and make new friends. You mentioned that you're interest in roleplay, and there are many kinds of roleplay sims in SL. I'm into Old West roleplay myself, and if you ever visit the Mustang Flats western rp sim, feel free to look me up. Have fun!
  18. Hi younghooper456, Welcome to SL! I agree with Alwin and Binx, an empty profile makes it harder to find friends. Put up a picture and type in a few of the things you like to do in the "About" section of your profile, and that will help. Plus, use the Search and find places to visit that match your interests. Look for groups too, and sign up to receive group notices so that you'll know if they host events. Hanging out at events is a great way to meet people and make new friends. Have fun!
  19. Hi Cupcake, Welcome to SL! It's a fun and interesting world with so many things to explore. If you ever want to try roleplaying, let me know. I'm into Old West roleplay myself, but there are many other kinds of roleplay sims that are pretty cool. Heck, there are many fabulous things to do in SL no matter what you're interested in. Have fun!
  20. heart3ele wrote: Is it furry friendly? Hi heart3ele, A hearty hello from Mustang Flats! In keeping with the theme of the roleplay and to enhance authenticity of the time period in which Mustang Flats is set, only that which existed in the late 1800s in the Old West can exist in Mustang Flats during roleplay. Everything that takes place in the roleplay area is IC (in-character) only. Furries are welcome to our OOC (out-of-character) events in our OOC campfire area that is in the welcome hub. Have a great day! Sam

  22. Hi there, I enjoy roleplaying in SL, and I'm watching an amazing series on television called "Wayward Pines," that I think would make a fun roleplay experience in SL. Only trouble is, I don't own a sim and I don't build. So I'm reaching out to anyone who might have roleplay and building experience who might want to explore the idea of making a Wayward Pines themed rp sim. Anyone here know Wayward Pines and might be interested in chatting about it? Thanks, Samantha
  23. I was finally able to log in but am having trouble with my avatar not loading, and I've tried two different viewers.
  24. I have been using Firestorm viewer, but that viewer seems to be having issues. My avatar takes a long time to load and moves almost in slow motion. In the SL viewer, it loads more quickly and moves well. So, I'm trying to get used to the SL viewer, but one thing I cannot figure out is how to make AOs work in SL viewer. And I can't find anything about it in the knowledge base. Can anyone help? Thanks!
