I have noticed quite a bit of sky structures on abandoned land and coming quite close to mine but not in it. This can still be unsightly and it is obviously not fair for those who pay. Not sure what to do about this. GreshamSeven

I have had a fair amount of experience for my "age" in sl. Mostly excellent time frames. One time it took around 10 days and when I mentioned this the answer was they try to write back within five working days. This has been my experience to date except the one time. Considering the amount of requests they must have to process, I'd say they are doing quite well. However, if you read my post in this section, they do not always say "yes". I didn't write on this blog for an answer. I am well aware that Linden is a business. Also, I asked if olthers have ever had a similar experience. I wanted to buy some AB land (around 3800 square meters) that has been sitting in front of me fo a long trime. This was a smaller parcel that I could afford without making my maintinence fee too high. The land people came in and combined several parcels to make a larger one to sell (over 8,000 square meters.) The parcel is really much more than I can buy now. A question for you: have you ever bought land through an auction in sl? I am interested in replies from residents who have had a similar experience. Recently I found a smaller parcel of AB. land and wanted to purshase this as it was across from my property and looked to be good land. I also noticed some out of place areas adjacent and tried to combine these for a purchase. The next thing I know, is they have taken my research of these lands as a land issue, and combined them for an auction. I was informed that should I wish to buy this land now, I must pay close attention to when the auction is so I may bid on the land that I informed the land department about to begin with. This is after spending a lot of Lindens for land etc. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen and if they think the auction policy availible now is fair to the so-called customers as they referred to me. I enjoy this expreince and have been working on spreading the word. From the press I have read, and from my own personal experience, the popularity of SL is declining. I have also explored many regions on the mainland to see that there are not that many people around anymore. I wonder if the reason is due to expreineces as I have recently encountered after spending quite a lot of "Lindens" to try and exprience sl as a land owner.
