I guess, i can say i don't really have a theme set for my self, one day i might be feeling a little goth, the next girly, the next tomboy and so on..
I don't really have stores i regularly go to, except exile, but i do like Analog Dog, Pink Fuel, IT Girls,Vive9 and etc..
I also usually shop for clothes, but every now and then might pick up some hair (i usually do marketplace for this) and furniture. I sometimes stop by little pet shops and just envy all the pet owners.

Like stated above, if you are just logging in to chat, or send messages,im, or check im;s,group messages, or pay someone, Metabolt is the best text viewer to me. I use it to get the money from my main account (will now my alt) to this account, so if i ever get hacked all they have is my pixel inventory (I don't have payment on file for this account).
But i digress, Lowering your bandwidth will help and like above i have my draw distance at 128 even though it can do about triple, if i don't need it, then i won't use it.

I'm just going to give you some reinsurance on wireless, because obviously some people don't know what they are talking about, wireless isn't recommended, but it didn't say you can't use it or to ''ooohh my goshh never use wireless its so evil and cheaper omgahhhd''. Alot of things aren't recommended in everyday life but we do it anyway. Personally i've been running second life on wireless for a long time and get high FPS and it loads faster than anyone else i'm around with DSL, or a cable connection. If you're computer is getting dusty it's getting dusty regardless, no matter what you do, i've learnt that from my own experiences. Nothing is meant to last, and with a memory sucking program like SL it won't last that long to begin with.
But i think your problem is either 1: the viewer, i notice these flashes for like half a second everything i click on and off the viewer,(that happens for everyone though, only some notice it). 2: Im not so sure on this, i will admit, but being a sims 2 player you had to have a pretty decent knowledge of graphics settings to make it run nice, (epspecially with 30,000 custom cotent files stored on your computer.) But its something called refresh rates I believe, i can't remember, but it controls how many times your screen refreshes. I would google that because this sounds like the problem. 3: Since you built this customly, you have to go the extra mile making sure everything is installed properly, and that everything is inplace.

Personally Freebie Galaxy is one of the oldest places out there, im surprised people still shop their actually, since its all 2003 themed and secondlife content has improved so much. Personally if you're helping out newbies, just take them all on a 2 hour hunt around the most popular stores.

But it depends on what one calls lewd, it's lewd to me and you but for another person it may not be a big deal. Which is why LL needs to be on point and detail with these types of situations.

Its not againist the TOS. Aslong as no sexual conduct was taking place. Thats all really clear on. I think it's a sterotype to think BDSM is all about sex personally, but i've never been into it. I don't like the idea, but as far as a i know, both of them are adults in real life, so i don't see why i should have to put my 2 cents in on the situation.

When i imply that its ''outdated'' i mean it was made when one of the first viewers that supported alpha layers came out., and alot of stuff has been changed since then.
And when i say its cheaply done, i don't mean the actual price, i mean its rushed/half created or just poor.
And not everyones viewer/computer/internet/ and graphics card is the same. When i used to wear two alpha layers on the same bodypart, they would flicker. This was on my old computer though.

Whats usually the problem:
-The ''alpha'' is not really a alpha but is invsiprims. (Which don't work with most recent viewers)
-The alpha itself is just outdated or cheaply done.
-Your friend tried to 'wear'' instead of ''add''.
-Your friend could be wearing an alpha or item that conflicts with that alpha. (ex.wearing two alpha's on the same bodypart)
-Your friend's viewer doesn't support alpha's or multiple's.

Personally don't be a quantity over quality person. The first laptop i had was maybe 600 dollars not including warranty and all the other junk. And it was so crappy, like beyond belief, i had to get rid of it, my LCD cracked and my keyboard stopped working and as well as my webcam. This was a acer btw, i know stupid me.
Now i have a lenovo, which actually runs secondlife extremely well, compared to my old computer. It only really costed me about 300 bucks or something like that. I haven't had one problem (that was the computer's fault) since I bought it. It boots fasts, and now i can go into clubs with about 30 people in it and not get kicked off everytime.
If you're investing in this laptop just for secondlife use only, i think before making a large investment you actually know what you want to do in secondlife, because investing 1000 bucks like that just to play, is kinda crazy.But if you really want to get a expensive laptop, that is actually all that, consider the lenovo yoga, Its really awesome.
Or you could use my advice like above, buy a nice but no so expensive laptop, and buy other things for the laptop with the rest of your spending money.
Anyway, you should atleast get something out of your money.

I have a bed from LAQ, well all of my furniture is from LAQ actually. Its a single/couple type of bed, if you sit on it you will be automatically lying down (nothing sexual). It has sit animations as well so you can sit in all different places on the bed if you wanted to. And sleeping/napping poses as well.

Hmm, maybe in a text viewer now that you mention it. It will probably take days inworld, you will get distracted,tired or will just crash or lag out after a while. I have metabolt so that i can use my main to pay my alt without having to go through all the trouble. Just be careful what you do.
Edit: BTW you can be logged into both viewers at the same time i believe.

Hmm, would you rather pay for secondlife ? Because thats where we are heading without the ads. You don't pay a dime, to keep the grid running so i would just deal with it, instead of acting like a baby about things you can easily fix yourselves. LL is no one's babysitter, just like with any company or anyone you have to do whats best for you.

Redgrave, probably the best in both mesh and prim. I wear prim eyes because i don't like to tamper with mesh that much. The eyes i purchased were so detailed and had shading ! not like the cartoon prim eyes that we are expected to deal with.

Just putting this out there, usually when i left click on something invisible it pops up. Or doing a texture refresh.

You honestly don't have to update anything, just go into your debug settings and type and find rendermaxtextureindex and change it to 0, textures should pop up. It only sets back to default if you reinstall,update or change graphics settings (low-ultra). You can always retype it thought, its mostly semi-permanent.

Ofcourse i'm not going to rez a hundred items, i didn't use any prims before (well that i've just kept there anyway), because the house is mostly furnished but when i did i just wondered why it wasn't going up. Felt strange for a second. I've had this land for about a week or 2. I've had other land by the same landlord, but wanted a more beach setting so i settled for this one. But its been like this since i moved in which is still want i find strange.

But one thing you have to understand is that Google is starting to literally own the internet as we know it. Before you know it they will have Google laptop/computer that comes with all the google apps on it playstore,gmail,search,videos etc..

It kind of annoys me when people think it's racism just amoung afro-american people. Being irish, i was bullied in school quite often because of my hair color,skin tone, freckles. such and such.
