Hello Amethyst, Il'l reply just in general otherwise the thread will be to long but you are wrong on alot of points and here is why PLEASE REMEMBER I'M TALKING ABOUT REAL ESTATE (PRIVATE SIMS NOT MAINLAND) I was mentioning companies using the term or telling people we sell class 8 servers to lure in new residents becuase they would be the only company with class 8 sims whilst they do not even excist that's not "me wondering if they excist i already know they don't About special deals you are maybe talking about GF sims, There is no proof that this happens just rumors (about the special tier deals) all i know is that 1 company received homesteads at GF rate, altho even the bigger companies who purchase sims from other residents do not buy GF Homesteads becuase the rate will increase // You're very wrong atleast on the prim bonus thing, there are correct prim bonus sims for example city sims where there is a 25% or 30% prim bonus on the land, the landlord cannot sell all the land on that sim or it will be selling more prims than a sim can hold. that's why there are streetes that make up for the prims that the prim bonus uses (for example and you can calculate: a 1/4 sim protected (not sold) can offer 3 x 1/4 with a 34% prim bonus rating. or per 4096 sqm that would be 1253 prims per 4096. 3 x 1/4 = 12 x 4096, 12x1253 prims = 15036 Prims (that is why the 1/4 sim that is protected (not sold) so PRIM BONUS SIMS DO EXCIST AS I JUST MENTIONED and there is no way in saying they dont. I'm not talking about mainland and yes my pricing is correct, 100% correct. On auction to sell LIMIT SELL L$, 76000 L$ Sold at a market rate of 248 L$ per 1 USD comes out to Estimated Proceeds: US$ 295.35 (Not regular L$ Sell) Your little picture of pricing was nice but your interpretation was wrong, unless you do not use the auction to sell L$ option (in that case you are throwing away money) Atleast a company that has been around longer than a company as you said "going out of business becuase they want to quit and come back after a while" that is not something people cheer for //
  2. Hello GothGirl There is nothing wrong with them making a profit, that was not why i created this thread. If companies do not make a profit they go out of business so that's why they should make profit. About the copybot thing i do not know anything. i think it's difficult for an estate owner to decide if someone is copybotting or not, it takes LL long to figure that out so i think it would be impossible for an estate owner to figure that out, and by banning a copybotter doesnt stop them from copybotting. i'd say report to LL is the best thing to do.
  3. The Parcel you're on make sure push is disabled. (create objects/object entry/scripts = Disabled). if you're still being thrown away it's (if it's your own parcel) probably something you rezzed yourself or an SL error). Basically by disableing, Create Objects/Object Entry and Scripts)nothing on your land should work unless itis'owned by you or your group.

Hello to everybody, I will comment here without naming estate company names or people's names but i will comment on some findings i discovered whilst i was doing my research on estate companies in SL. Please comment i can explain it all except company names and SL avatar names but a discussion is good so we are all aware of what is going on. 1. Class 5, 7, 8? what is it!!!! Okay what is it. On the known website: http://www.gridsurvey.com is a list of the top estate companies in sl (top 20) which i believe are true they are based on the number of sims owned by 1 estate owner (split into groups for excample of 1 lady who is SL's biggest estate owner who owns multple estate companies) After verification with LL, there are only 2 classes. even tho classes do no longer excist. class 5 and 7 still excist. Depending on the sim usage/theme/traffic Lindenlabs can change the class from 5 to 7 on 3 different servers. Bluesteel (SL Server) > LeTigre and > RC Magnum. (MAKE SURE IT'S A CLASS 5 OR 7 SIM IF YOU REALLY WANT, THERE IS REALLY NO DIFFERENCE. HIGH TRAFFIC/SCRIPT SIMS USUALLY GET THROWN ON A CLASS 7 SERVER AND CLASS 5 IS USED FOR STABLE REGULAR TRAFFIC/SCRIPT SIMS) I found out some companies are selling their parcels as Class 8 (or even class 9) Servers. Which is totally bs. Even tho i'm sure gridsurvey is correct, Lindenlabs does not acknowledge the excistence of class 8 or higher. So be careful with companies offering class 8. They are probably trying to pursuade you to buy with them offering a higher class number of sim whilst you actually just own a parcel on a class 5 sim. And if you have comments, then contact Lindenlabs, They decline the knowledge of Class 8 or higher servers. If you are an estate company owner who has class 8 or higher. Tell me your secret becuase it should be public for everybody and not just you!. I have interviewed around 18 estate companies (on numerous alts) including this one so my cover is blown from now on. Some companies strongly believe they are selling class 8 or higher sims. Not their staff but the owners too. The worst i have encountered was that i was banned after asking a few questions about the sims performance and class rating. this was on this (account) so you know if you read it it was me and i'm talking about you!!!. Most of the staff i encountered were very helpful, but once again just did (probably) what their bosses told them. Class 8 and over sims do not excist altho they pressured me into believing they did. I also discovered some companies sell alot of prims at an insanely low price, this could be, 3000 prims for 1500 L$ or 3000 prims for 2800 L$ (now under the understanding a regular sim "not GF" costs 295 usd = 76000.month). nobody can charge that for a parcel with that amount of prims. It turns out some companies have a double agenda that you need to read the covenant carefully to understand what you're buying. *(one of the top estate companies i checked) sold 2675 prims for 3185 L$ on a 4096 sq meter parcel. Now after checking remember that they could only guarantee me 937 prims. This means that i purchase 937 prims for 3185 L$.week but i can use more than 937, untill the sims prim resources run dry and i need to remove 1000 or 2000 prims so that my neighbour can rez their objects. Compare that: 3185.week for 937 Prims = 3.39 L$ per prim a week. (AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT BONUS PRIMS) Bonus prim sims i have checked were usually calculated correctly. Nothing to comment on them just be careful, and make sure that the prim bonus applies. if you buy a 4096 SQ>M Parcel which usually offers 937 prims, if it offerse, 1200 or more prims, that the estate owner needs to have atleast a 1/4 sim empty (public land) available and not sold to offer you those extra prims you need to be able to get the prim bonus on your land. Price per prim for a GF and Regular FS (Grandfathered/Fullsim GF = 50.000 L$/month (current auction L$ rating) FS = 76.000 L$/month (current auctino L$ rating) PPP = Price per prim GF = 3.33/month = (0.76 pp on yearly bases) FS = 5.06/month = (1.16 pp on yearly bases) A checklist for those who are buying: (from testing 18 estate companies + The good things)- Bad things. 1. Why mainland and why privately estate sims 1. a Mainland can be good for some who are sick of rules or just wish to not exchange payment info with others except Lindenlabs. but thats'about all the benefits you get from owning mainland (besides the allowance which you pay for yourself) 1b. If you pick the correct estate company you have 24/7 support (where mainland support is through tickets which takes up to 3 weeks). Support means they help you with everything (but dont expect them to teach you how to build or terraform altho some companies do)!!!!. 2. Company age: Not that important. altho buy on own risk with new estate companies (2 or less years) of age. >> WHy? Becuase alot companies (in the real estate business) go out of business. the only way to get a piece of the market is lower prices or underprice, which is a high risk for bankruptcy. less income (from profits) higher the risk sims have to be abandoned. 3. Before you buy and you think it's a great deal, calculate the price per prim. You will never know if a sim is a GF sim and if the company tells you it is it will charge you accordingly (GF Prim rate) if it does not tell you or does not want to tell you it will charge a regular rate which is between 1.25 and 2 L$./prim depending on size maybe or prims used. 4. The less you pay for your weekly./monthly tiers, the higher the company's stress rate is, The same as with RL Company's. If someone buys 100 apples for 50 dollar and sells them for 100 dollars he has a maximum income of 50 usd whichi s 100%. If another company sells the same apples for 60 usd. he has a possible income of 10 usd. Lets say 10 apples get rotten and cannot be sold. the company that charges the lowest price for the apples will no longer be able to pay it's rent or purchase new apples and go out of business. 5. Ask Friends!!!!, Who else to ask but friends, if they reccomend you a company it usually is good. regardles of price. it's your call to believe them or maybe to buy land with a rather new unknown company (that might be amazingly good) or could rob you of your money. 6. most imprant: Regardles of the company you buy land with, do not pay more than 4/6 weeks in advance (4 or 6 weeks). incase things do go wrong and you are 1 week paid upfront you do not lose that much money. if you're 5 months paid up you lose alot more! So since i cannot release my list of investigated companies by name or company owner(s) i hereby end my report. I just hope some of you learn from it or atleast take into concideration what i have just explained. If you have comments or questions i'd love to see them and answer them.
