Recently I did the update for AMD, but after discovering the issues with Second Life and the new update for AMD, I followed the instructions and completely deleted the update of AMD and went to the 14.4 version of AMD. All though this has helped with the mesh and such with going back to the 14.4 version, I am still experiencing issues: Second Life being jerky/choppy, when I open anything, (note cards, inventory, search, IMs), its like a 1-2 second delay (hope that made sense). I have lowered my graphics in my preferences, and tweeked some of the settings in the graphics part in preferences in the hopes this will help till Second Life and AMD figure something out I guess with the graphics card side of things (fingers crossed), because this is a major annoyance and inconvenience to some extent, and I am willing to put up with it for a while of course :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2: Is anyone experiencing the same issue?....Does anyone have any suggestions? Unfortunately I have a All In One HP TouchSmart 610, and I have asked my RL if it were possible to get a better graphics card, (mind you I have really no knowledge on computer techey stuff), and he said that as far as he knows its really not possible.

Well let me answer to what you two are saying, first of all, in order to hire people you need to get the word out, especially to those who are new to SL and have learned the basic needs to work in SL, if they so wish. Secondly for those who would like to be apart of a Second life Club, DJ, Host, Dance, Strip, Talk Dirty, what ever the case maybe, a Second Life Club must and need to advertise for staff if they have the spots available. Now as you can see with what I have advertised above, I have put the specific times we have available, and being a 24 hour club, I must say, that's not to shabby. As for spamming, posting advertisements and such, well personally, we do so normally once to twice a week in the forums, I mean there are TONS of clubs posting in here sometimes its hard to keep up, so we like to post what we have available and or in general because its truly nice to have fill ins and covers, you know being a SL club there is always changes, peoples RL's that come up and such, some people who like to go on to other ventures and such, as well as many other reasons people either need to cut back in there time in DJing or Hosting, or have to step down all together. But I will admit, what you both said is very valid, rude and obnoxious, maybe a little assholish, but valid, so I would like to thank you both for pointing that out, even though like most, why click and read and waste your time on something when it annoys you or bothers you? I mean wouldn't you rather waste those awesome talents on other things like maybe something more positive. But again, thank you I do appreciate it when people go out of there way to point something out. Well I better get back to what all club owners do, and that is just sit around spamming jobs all day in forums, OH! and in world to :matte-motes-big-grin:

Coming from a club owner and a Second Life Broadcaster...(I don't really consider myself a DJ, as I don't mix music, I am a on air personality, unfortunately I am not that talented)....when I broadcast music, my rule of thumb is in between two songs (a segue) I will talk, announcing the song that just aired, next song and to stay tuned for a song request from whom ever, this is normally timed at about 25-20 seconds when the song is ending and that way it leads into the next song smoothly, keeps people engaged and wanting to stick around. I haven't DJd a club where there is contest board in a long time, but when I did, it was normally every 3 songs I would have a small 30 second break, enough time to talk about the club, VIP tags, stores if there are any, don't forget to show some appreciation to the host and some info about the contest board. It's always good to show personality, talk to the VIPs personally, like "Hey how are you, hope your having a fantastic weekend!", shows you appreciate the people there and spending time with you and there host, and coming out of there own time to listen to you and to hang out. By making announcements about the club, the host and what ever is going on, show's support to the club that allows you to Broadcast there, as well as promote the venue so they can keep running for second life and the people. As for people not talking, depends on the DJ and what they do, if they are a live mixer some can't talk allot and depends on the mixer, and depends on there software that they are running. Each person has there reasons for not talking, and I have respect for those no matter what, that's there personal choice. My choice as a on air personality, I feel naked with out my mic, with out it I feel useless as a broadcaster. Being a club owner, my venue that I have all DJs must use a Mic, as that is what the venue requires, I have hired DJs before who have RL disabilities and some who choose not use a Mic because of there RL and SL choice (being there sexuality), and they have always been very successful DJs, because they remained social in local chat and made a presence to people who are there, and it can be done if you have the personality for it. Would I personally go actively go to a club to listen to someone DJ and not talk, depends on how active they are in local chat and there music choice, but that is me personally.

Well it worked for a few days, and since last night no one can use the IMs for the staff group, and some people have said they are similar issues with other groups. I put in a ticket to LL's and hopefully someone can help out, just strange I haven't see anything posted on this either.

Being a club owner in SL for a long time, and it's time, patience as well as a crap load of money, RL money, if you go into owning a club and you can make a profit, good for you! but expect to go into it with the realization that it may never happen. It takes a village to run a club in SL, a successful club that is, if the owner has a good team and a good bunch of DJs and Hosts who are willing and able then thats great. Now a days though, that isn't always the case. Before I hire people myself and my managers are always open and honest about our clubs traffic and that its only 100% tips, and to make sure that they are comfortable with that, if they are not then our club isn't for them, if they don't mind and want to give it ago, they have what it takes to DJ a low to medium traffic club then thats awesome! SL is allot different then it was years ago, most clubs that are still open from over 4 years ago have a loyal VIP group which is fantastic and very well deserved, but with clubs that are open now, such as mine, it can be very difficult, mostly because there are a few DJs and Hosts out there with higher expectations for little effort and passtion put into what they do, (not all DJs and Hosts, just a few). It's hard from a owners perspective when you want to genuinly run a SL Club, your more then willing to put in your own money because you are passionate about it, only to have some people bring you down because you don't pay your djs or hosts or have high traffic. I love what I do, I love DJing, I love owning a SL club, I get enjoyment out of it, and making sure that our DJs and Hosts are comfortable working the club.
