Try Corsica. Much of Corsica is abandoned. There are abandoned roadside parcels.

Land with no water or road access isn't worth much in SL. There's lots of that available, but you have to TP in and out.

Thanks for the tip! The waterside ones I been finding are kind of iffy and smaller then they look so. yea.

What you are searching for the price you listed isn't very realistic hence why you can't seem to find a place.

You might get lucky but it's not likely as those parcels are snatched up extremely fast (and often times resold for more.)

Probably, I mean I'm open to paying 4-5k at most too but I'd like to stay under that.

I think that the best way to find mainland parcels that meets one's requirements is by using the SL Map inworld, with the box ticked to show parcels for sale.  Parcels for sale will show on the map in yellow, and if you click on the  $ symbol on the parcel you will be able to see the land description, parcel size and cost.  You can also see the shape of the parcel and if the parcel is located along a road or by water, if the parcel is in the midst of a lot of other parcels, or if it's by abandoned land...  all from the map, so you can decide if it's worth TP'ing to for a closer look.

Once you look at a couple of parcels for sale on the map that are square 1024's, you be able to pick out that size easier on the map.

Yea I'll keep trying that but have had no luck so far finding something good!

    hello.

There are tons of parcels for sale and since this is the middle of the summer, as you can see the prices are low as 0.4 per meter..

Dont waste your time here in the forums.
Log in to our world, open search and go buy the land you wish!

There are more than enough choices :)

Thing is I have a hard time looking and nothing of interest comes up thats why.

  5. Hello everyone I decided to re-post because I messed up on my last post. I'm looking to purchase a 1024sqm area.  I'm open to looking at locations but I'd rather not have a strange shaped land that'd be impossible to put a house down on! Grass or beach is fine or even roadside. I'd also like something thats around 1-2k to pay upfront if possible!

Open to discussing more on it! I also had gotten premium awhile ago so I'm trying to stick with the guidelines on the land portion.

Thank you so much for your time everyone!

  6. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a 1024sqm area with.. 500 prims if possible? I'm open to a bit more or even a little less! Yes, if you sell the land or abandon it, you then have your 1024 sqm of tier available to use elsewhere.

You could then buy a new plot from someone else, buy some abandoned land from LL, or get one of the LL made Premium homes.

Thank you! I thought I enjoyed the land I got for the premium but I haven't enjoyed it.

  8. Hey so awhile ago I upgraded to Premium and got land from a very lovely user that was in the 1024sqm requirement by Linden Labs so they won't charge you for nothing more but your premium membership. I sadly do not want said land anymore but don't want to leave it if I won't get my 1024sqm thing back to get a new plot.

If I abandon or sell the land will I get the sqm's back or no?

If you can't find nice enough house with as much rooms as you'd like, you can make walls yourself and divide the space or house as you like. I did that in the first skybox i stayed/rented. Or make a skybox bathroom or any other room and add a teleporter there, i guess skyboxes are allowed. But i guess you already must know this stuff. ^^

Was first going to post about Scarlet Creative, then noticed you already had found that. :D

That's a good idea actually. I mean I'd just use a skybox but I always enjoy having an outdoor area. I mean I could always do what you said too and do teleporters. Thanks for the advice!

Initially everything was counted by prims which can be built in-world using the "Build" tool.  Later, when mesh developed with tools like Blender, outside of SL, were able to be imported in, new calculations of how much a parcel could hold were needed, and they used the term Land Impact or LI.    Sometimes you may see that an item's prim count is different from it's LI number when an item if partial or full mesh - in that case I use the LI number when I'm looking at an item and deciding if I want to get it our not.

Thanks for the explanation, I ain't good with Second Life's mumbo jumbo!

also have a look at Dust Bunny , Laq (not many and quite hight LI), The Domineaux Effect,(many big, but also few smaller) , Studio Skye,  Redgrave (most to big),  BD By Dorian, and at MP do a gacha search... sometimes very basic, nice homes in that category.

Thank you! Also I LOVE DustBunny so much, all their items are adorable.

I have houses from most of the ones you listed above.  Others that come to mind off the top of my head that I've purchased houses from, or have gone to and looked at their houses are:

    Barnsworth Anubis https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/376

    Spargel & Shine Homes https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/79226

    By Dorian https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/18130

Bellarose Designs Furniture & Homes https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/3478

    DaD http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Saint Florent/128/128/22

    The Domineaux Effect https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/92702

    Convair https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/79748

    Thistle Homes https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/13173

For the ones that I could find the Marketplace store for, I posted the MP link so you could look to see what types of houses they have, to see if you are interested in their offerings.  The ones I listed above all  have in-world locations where you can see demos of the different houses, so if you see something that interests you, be sure to check it out in-world.

In addition to the LI (prims) that the house will use, you will also need to have prims available for furnishing the house.  On a 1024 sqm with 351 prims, I'd probably try to stay at around 100 or less LI for the house itself.  You also need to check that the size of the house will not be too large for the parcel.  A standard square 1024 sqm parcel is 32m x 32m I believe, but there could be some odd-sized non-square 1024 parcels out there as well.

In the Marketplace, on the left sidebar of the page, under "Categories" you can go to "Buildings and Other Structures" and then "Residential Structures" to see all that are on the marketplace.  There are some filters that you can apply such as LI range, cost range, etc., to narrow down the results so you're not totally overwhelmed.  Not all houses for sale on the Marketplace have a location in-world where you can see a demo of the house - the ones that do will have a link on the item description that says "See item in Second Life".  For me, it's important that I am able to see a demo of, to check out and walk around in it, so that I can see the room layout and size, and the overall scale of the house.

Thank you so much for the store links & advice! I wouldn't care SO much how much the prims were or.. LI? but I want to try and be able to decorate my free plot by linden with premium! Seems to have its benefits and downfalls though!

When that happens to me, I stalk their Marketplace store of Flickr to find the name and then area search the store.

It's just super weird because I can't remember the name of it, and when I was looking in the old prefab area with the menu board the homes were different from when I looked the previous night.

  14. I wasn't sure where to properly place this but I been looking for nice homes to live in and one that could stay unde 351 prims since that would be the max amount for the different sims I been looking at to purchase from under Linden Labs guidelines for premium members. The land is 1024sqm.

It would be only me living in the home but if its possible I'd like one or two rooms at least for a bedroom and kitchen (or bathroom). I had found one from Trompe Loeli but I cannot locate it again on the sim. Any suggestions would help!

Does anyone know other places to find homes besides ROOST, Trompe Loeli, Onsu, and Scarlett Creative too? Thank you!
