I forgot to mention that if you're in the USA you can submit the IP address of the fraudulent site to the FBI's Internet Fraud department, or division, or whatever they call it. Just look for it on their web page. You may never hear back from them but they do take internet fraud seriously.

If you can find an attorney to take the case, sure, you can sue anyone. But it'll probably cost you more than you lost. If you haven't already done so what you need to do know is IMMEDIATELY go and change your password. You may still be able to save your account. Or just delete it and start a new one after you run a virus scan on your computer. Don't EVER give your user ID and password to anyone. Good luck.

I have a small bit of land and a couple of friends want to rent some space for a skybox. I'd like to use a rental box and provide a security system for them. Do any of the landlords here have a recommendation for a good set that is easy to set up and use? Or if not a set, are there separate ones you'd suggest? Thanks!

Okay, that does help. I don't think it's anything to do with RLV. It sounds more like Firestorm is having a problem with your laptop. Unfortunately I don't know enough to even begin to tell you where to look, but I hope someone else here does.

I'm having a problem with a HUD showing up half on / half off my screen. I know I have the ability to scroll out to see the whole thing with a white box showing the standard view but I don't remember how. I'm sorry I can't be more clear about this but I hope someone knows what I mean and can help. Edit: Thank you, Rolig. That's exactly what I was forgetting.

A couple of things that aren't mentioned in the other answers are: 1. Linden Labs will still charge you for the maximum amount of land you owned in the previous billing period even after you set your usage to zero on your Dashboard. For example, if your bill date was the 15th of the month, and you abandoned your land on the 16th of the month, you will be charged the full tier for the month. 2. Your account will stay as a Premium account until you reach your next bill date for your membership. You won't be charged when the next membership bill date comes around, but you can still take advantage of the Premium membership until then. This works to your favor if you switch right after you pay the membership fee because you'll still receive the weekly stipend until your account status changes.

I'd like to have a Lightning Lady costume made and I'm wondering how much someone who is experienced at making mesh clothing would charge. Lightning Lady is a character in the Evil Inc. comic and can be found here. (http://www.evil-comic.com/archive/20120618.html - in case the link doesn't work.) I'll be happy to supply my avatars shape info if it's needed. I know that she's a character in a copyrighted comic so I'm not expecting an exact recreation, but I'd like something that's close enough so people who know the character will know it's her, but not so close that any one will get in legal trouble for making it. Have you tried going in and changing your password? That's the first thing I'd try.
