It is entirely possibly that the last few came from abandons.  We know that many people nab a home and then immediately release it if the spot is not to their liking.

That's a good point. I was imagining those 7 alts all grabbing a home in the same region instantly right out of the gate and that seemed unfathomable to have timing that good while juggling 7 land pages. If the claiming of each one is staggered it makes more sense.

I can always get in on a new region, it's just not always the one I want. It seems like right now, there are lots of LHs not taken, no one wants those either.

At a certain point there are going to be way more homes available than accounts, even with all the alts. What are there, four more styles to be released? That will be interesting to see how things go in the future and how the game changes!

Let's not make up rumors about bots and other things. It's easy to roll as many avs you want quickly, if you log into different browsers.

Sorry, not trying to start rumors by positing a bot system. Honestly just trying to wrap my head around how one person could get 7 in a newly released region while many of us can't even get one and it seemed like the most logical explanation to pop into my brain. You're probably right that it's just down to faster internet speed and timing.

There is at least one person that is holding (or was holding) 5-7 homes in one region last week when I was looking.  I didn't take note of when they had nabbed each parcel, but given the way they name the alts and all homes in the same land group, it is pretty obvious that it is just one person.

Holy moly... Is there a linden home black market they are planning on selling those things on we don't know about? 😆

That's a lot of alts in one single region. Even being able to grab that many is mind blowing... like, how do they do it all at once? How can they even be logged in on the land page at one time? I can't fathom. Must be some sort of bot system.

That doesn't really explain claiming 3 or more parcels and then keeping them all. I doubt any of us can really say what goes on in the mind of another GOHer.

Yeah, if they are holding three in one region at a time I have no idea what's up with that. Seems strange to me. But like you said, that's just me and the way my own mind works. Who knows what enjoyment they get out of it. Everyone finds entertainment in Second Life their own way... what is strange to one makes perfect sense to another. Heck, just look at the eyesores on mainland that drove us all to seek peace and beauty in Belli! There are some people who love their eyesores to this day and wrapping our brains around that is impossible. Some would say those of us with any linden home alts at all are strange too, I'm sure.

it must be some sort of game to them -- to see how many they can manage to get in a single region.  Long term, I don't think they hold them all, so I can't think of any other reason for it.

Yeah, I was trying to contemplate the logistics of that. I have four linden home accounts (my main, my fiance's account, an old alt I created on a whim, and a new alt I created just for the homes). And on those, I always have three "keepers", each in a different style. And with the homeless account, I can either hold on to something temporarily to decorate and have fun with, or I can play GoH. Right now my trad and houseboat are so perfect for me I don't even try looking at other parcels in those styles. So my homeless account has just been trying for a perfect stilt or maaaayyyybe a better victorian.

In order to send out all my accounts at once I'd have to release my keepers. And it would be purely a gamble that they'd get anything I like, so I could wind up with nothing that makes me super happy. That's not appealing, at least to me personally.

So I wonder if the people with armies also have keepers on some accounts, but have even more accounts above and beyond that to send out en masse? Too rich for my blood! I'll just wait until more are released or someone posts about releasing a parcel that speaks to me.

I was lucky enough to get one in Float Alone, but it is hard when you are competing with "teams" (of alts) who sweep in and take as many as they can get. So yeah, releasing just a few regions at a time definitely makes it harder for those playing without teams!

Oh man, I didn't even stop to think that people are using multiple alts at once on the same release. It's stressful as it is trying to be fast enough on ONE account. I can't even imagine what kind of internet speed and set up people have for a mass parcel run. Oof!

My internet isn't fast enough for these slow releases. Only ever really pick up ones others have abandoned soon after the release. I love the stilt homes, the on water, pier and on land all have a vibe I like.

Yeah, the 3 regions at a time release schedule they have right now is really, really rough. Everything is picked up in a matter of seconds. Not even minutes, it seems as soon as they are released they are gone. Mucho stressful!

Man, everyone has been fast! Saw only one pier parcel appear this whole time since the first of today's releases and it was already gone by the time I got to the next page. Other than that, no piers.

AHAHAHA, I just caught one and it was on the other side next door to the neighbor I was trying to get away from. Only unlike the one I released earlier on the other side of the neighbor, it wasn't an end parcel. Bad luck today. Maybe tomorrow will look up!

It's still F's left. I keep an eye on Float alone.

I did notice many of the Ferrymans Drift homes were unreleased when I had a look around a couple hours ago. The OL ones, and that region has a large number of OL parcels that are beachfront and sometimes even have decks over the water (a few infuriating ones that are turned the wrong way with decks on land and front door in water as well, but maybe that just makes me twitch and others don't mind). So I'm not surprised to learn there are also other F regions unreleased considering that one is only halfway.

Hmmm... I wonder if they ran into an issue and stopped mid-way? Definitely curious to know how things are working behind the scenes. Hopefully not too stressful for the team.

I'm looking forward to more releases in the near future after logging in again tonight. I was pretty happy with my stilt parcel until my next door neighbor started, uh, decorating. I guess that's what we will call the mess that's popped up over there. Complete with bright flashing lights! Wheeeee... 🙄

    Finally new kitchens!! ❤️👍

I am so tired of the Hive kitckens.

Edit: I commented on a review and added a wish for some units without upper cabinets. I always find houses that has windows on at least one wall.

The creator got your message and updated the product with lower cabinets! Including the sink! Got the message to grab a redelivery when I logged in today! 😃

That's not the one i'm talking about. It is near it, though. I actually wasn't even aware there was a house there lol. Currently the dejected house has been taken for probably the longest it's been since i've been watching.

Oh how weird, my timing must have been off because I was refreshing the page for a pier and didn't see it show up when you posted. It was land and water only for the longest time. I did just manage to grab a pier in Eastbridge Quay though. Not a forever home, but not bad at all! End of pier connected to land. Now back to work for me, I reeled in my catch for the day 😄

Thanks for the alert about the releases guys! You're MVPs. ❤️

Just a reminder to myself and you: Visit the Apple Fall store on Mondays, and you may win a gift card. I think it is 2500 L.

I teleport there and walk around, maybe a minute. I do not think you have to be there longer than that, so the visitor counter can pick you up.

Smart to make that request, the creator seems to be listening! And I was thinking the same thing, offering separated lower and upper cabinets would be great.

  14. Stumbled across a couple of kitchens on the MP from a creator I never heard of before. The ad pictures were not great, there were no in-world demos for either... but something told me to take the risk. Turns out it paid off and now I can share with you guys!

Neither of the kitchens have animations but what they do offer is a nice aesthetic for low LI. The CKP kitchen is more feature-rich with a texture HUD and individual pieces that can slot out and be used in other kitchens (i.e. fridge, stove top, stove hood, etc.). But I liked the style of both. If animations aren't what you need and you just want something nice and low LI to clutter up in your linden home, these could be good choices. Both kitchens look way better in world than they do in the ads. They are also being updated currently, as the creator messaged me about grabbing a redelivery because he updated the specular maps today.

EDIT: And yeah, I just noticed from other reviews of the CKP kitchen that it didn't originally have a texture HUD or an island. So this creator is actively updating his work. Definitely keep an eye on these.

  15. This is bittersweet for me, but I'm letting go of my Victorian in Effing Parade at 4:30am SLT. This was my very first linden home and I adore it. Pretty street corner parcel, nice landscaping, and great region name. I'm only letting it go because I picked up a riverside Victorian on an alt that I decided to keep instead (with extra urging from a friend who let it go himself last week for a houseboat and still wants to visit it). Hitting that "abandon land" button is going to sting this time around... I hope whoever picks it up will enjoy it!

  16. I can't remember if I mentioned this already in another thread or not, but I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Finn add on for the Wallower houseboat by Flair (L$375 - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Flair-MV-The-Wallower-Finn-Add-On-boxed/17630859). It seamlessly adds a kitchen and bathroom that is easy to snap into place and has nice materials-enabled textures for the tiles and painted walls. It makes the Wallower hands down my favorite houseboat. Picture attached of how I'm currently using it... I haven't fully decorated and cluttered up the joint but it's close to done and I'm so happy by how it's coming along in there.

And I can echo OP from Page 1 of this thread that the Teegle add on (L$900 - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Teegle-Bellisseria-Adams-Home-Addon/19669885) for the Adams traditional is fantastic! Adams is my favorite trad because the front is so adorable, and adding on the Teegle makes the back equally as showstopping. My second favorite for the Adams are the walls by RAE that add doors, beams, arches, and a bathroom (L$215 - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RAE-Adams-internal-walls-v1/19205280). That one is great if you don't want to make a big addition to the house with the Teegle but still want some extra internal features.

Team Adams and Team Wallower forever!

Well... until I find add ons for other builds that excite me as much as these ones do 😆

This is the main reason I wanted a house in Margaritaville- to have a boat right off my deck to sail Bellisseria (& hopefully, eventually, the rest of SL) from. The closeness of the homes & twistiness of the waterways makes smaller personal craft a must, so I dug deep in my INV over the last few days trying & retrying all my small watercraft. My back deck in Littoral Truth abuts a land & launch rez zone (yay!)

My "grab & go sailing" boats so far are these two:

Cigar Yacht's  GXR-1650 Jetski. This is perfect for two people, tons of cute poses & slips right under piers, bonus it has wave rider physics for taking it to surf sims.

For more leisurely cruising with more friends: Mesh Shop Captain's Launch. My all time favorite for its variety of experiences: seats 4, the motor is quiet, it's responsive & turns well, looks sleek, has a nice wake, and hoist a sail & cut the motor & fish a while.

I'm sure we'll see plenty of Loonettas too, but what other craft will you fish out to sail the new regions?

The Forever SummerMERRY STILTS & HAPPY NEW YEAR from the hardworking & wonderful Lindens & Moles

Great thread and exactly on the wavelength I've been operating these past couple days! I have a little bit of a nasty habit of collecting watercraft I never use, so I'm currently trying to figure out my plans for my new Baby Buoy houseboat and I was hitting up all the major boat sellers the past couple nights to compare what I have already to what I could be using.

Aside from living in Belli, I also have a homestead in Templeton Cove where I keep my Palinuro and Continental37 by Rattletrap Shipyards permanently docked and they will probably stay there. I also have my Bandit IF and my TMS Star Class there as they are both fantastic for narrower passages so will probably not be carried over to Belli either. When I was using my houseboat on Penitent Beach I had my Aquadream by Rattletrap out, but now that I moved to Baby Buoy I'm feeling like I could be using one of the larger sailboats I can't use on my homestead because of their size. I have the Loonetta and the Bandit 60, but I favor my TMS Ushuaia. That said, I did just grab the TMS Cafe Del Mar and the TMS Ocean Beach two days ago and I have the Ocean Beach docked at Baby Buoy currently. I also want to use the TMS SeaBoss Extreme with additional wakeboards for my friends, I think that would be loads of fun so I expect to pull those out and take them for a spin at Baby Buoy!

I'm constantly in this struggle where I prefer the aesthetic of Rattletrap Shipyards but I long for the sailing features of Bandit & TMS. It makes me forever indecisive about how to use my 351 LI allowance in Belli. I'm always checking on those two sims in the hopes that Rattletrap has released a sailboat or that Bandit/TMS has upped their mesh and texture game inside the cabins. I don't know if either will ever happen or if a competitor will ever hit SL that equals those creators in those areas (pssst... I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows of some creators I haven't heard about that could end my struggle).

Oh, speaking of LI, for anyone looking for rezzers that don't impede on your decor allowance... MadPea has some really fun ones! The MadPea Starboats are SO MUCH FUN with friends (think ocean bumper boats) and the rezzer is only 2 LI and each starboat is only 6 LI. Madpea has other good boat rezzers too that can be great choices for your guests to get out and explore and have fun. I have an old one that isn't available anymore, a little wooden Madpea boat with an invisible rezzer you put under water, and I still use it to this day for an easy ride around waterways.

Here, have some pics to close out my message! Pictured are the TMS Ocean Beach at my HB in Baby Buoy (yes, that's my kitty alt on top), as well as some wintery shots from my homestead of the TMS Star Class, Palinuro & Continental37 both by Rattletrap Shipyards, and the Bandit IF with a bonus of the Madpea starboat rezzer in view. Just in case anyone was curious about any of the boats I mentioned above!

This thread is a tutorial, thank all of you for sharing your skills with us!!  🤩

Yes, I am so happy I spoke up initially about the pair linking method, because I came out of it learning so much more! I already knew things were roughly rounded up or down, and that's why linking can either increase or decrease, but the discussion in this thread really solidified exactly why and how things work and also gave new insight into how to maximize my land impact savings without just guessing and testing. What a joy to come back to tonight! If I could give that whole thread a gigantic "thank you" trophy I would! ❤️
