No matter how many times I log in my avatar is just a floating white oval shape with my name above it. What might of happened?! Help!

What viewers do you use?

I was using a different view originally and I just downloaded the phoenix viewer and I had a couple of questions. 1. How do I change view so that I can see the front of myself instead of the front? In my first viewer I would click on camera options and I could choose rear view, side view and front view. Where do I go now to find those? 2. In my old viewer I used to have a tabe called *destinations* and it would list hot places to go, the best chat places, the best music places etc. Is there a option like that on Phoenix? Any other tips would be great!

LOL no no not trying to get friends who are male only. Female AND mail are both valid options.

So I finally have my avatar looking good and ready to get out there in the SL world and now I'm wondering where and how do I go about making friends? lol. Do I just walk up to avis that get my interest? I guess I should find places to go and groups to join?.... Need friends!

Ok I got some help and I have a shape and some new eyes lol but I'm still a bit confused. Is it shapes that change what your face look like or the skins? I like the figure my avatar has but I want to change my face. Reccomendations for AO?

Wow that blog was really helpful so far. I have finally found my way to Free Dove. Just a question why do the pictures on the products for sale takes ages to load and become clear? Is there a preference I can go in to to change that? Also what is the best way of getting my avatar around? Using the mouse or keyboard?

I went in to objects and there is nothing in there. I went to *show filters*, should I turn them all off? I sent notecards to all the merchants I bought stuff off. So once I open a box will the item in it go directly to the folder it belongs in? There are so many different catergories to look at.

I think I did it right. I created a new notecard and i saved it and then i shared it with the seller. Is that right? Also how do I read a notecard? All I get is jibberish. lol

Thanks for the replies. I had my viewer open when the boxes arrived from my order last night and then I clicked keep or whatever it is and I assumed they saved. I did pay for one thing so I will send a note to the merchant so I can get it back. The free stuff I'm sure I can find again. I went in and changed the filters back a day and nothing shows up just the current stuff I have on. Grrr. Where do I find the notecards?

I have a avatar that you can pick when you sign up etc. I will check out the objects area tomorrow, *late here in Aus* lol. I had a look in recent and nothing is there. Any other tips on getting the best looking avatar. Some stuff I picked up was free so I should probably stick to stuff that actually charges lindens?

I bought lots of items in the SL marketplace, opened my viewer to accept them and now t hey are not showing up in my inventory. I bought a new shap, skin etc. I'am new so maybe I'm not looking in the right place for what I bought? I checked my marketplace invoice and all has been delivered.
