Tada! Another poster coming out of the woodwork doing the same exact thing Mr. Dres accused me of. Hilarious. It's amusing that those that "clique" together can't see they do what they accuse others of. Thank goodness you guys have each other!

I like that.. "M wrote" lol

I didn't do what Dres accused you of.  For me to do that I would have had to say how terrible it was,
    then
do it.  (the hypocrite thing)   I merely reposted words from this thread that illustrate the word.

I've never seen your name or posts before today...so I find it odd that you would trot out the term "clique".   Also, your imagination is getting a little out of hand, as I never accused you of anything.

Seeing as how we've just now met (Or, do you sometimes use another name?) you're reacting very defensively and snarky.   No humor?    ; )

Ummm.. Yeah I use another name. I believe it shows how many posts I have made and I find it hard to believe that you say we just met because this isn't the 1st time you have responded indirectly to my post through.. Dres :) I know this because as long as I have been posting There is a certain pattern.  The term clique is humor. I am not defensive, Do you think for one minute I take what anyone says here to heart just because I respond in a way that the poster didn't like? No.

My imagination is getting out of hand? Really? I wonder how you can determine that, I don't know you except from the posts you make on this forum so you in turn don't know me. AGAIN LOL it's funny, "Certain" posters throw your so called snark at new residents that don't deserve it, they are defensive and rude. That is acceptable though, by "certain" posters.

Humor.. Can you see if I am laughing as I type this? No, didn't think so. People take this forum a bit too serious and I can see why, they live on here. I guess that's their "RL" Btw, nice meeting you.. again :)

Let's take 2 guesses what will happen next..

  3. I have both GOS feet and Slink. I prefer Slink for a few reasons, my skin has an applier that matched seamlessly. I prefer the look of Slink (moreso the shape of the nail and toes, they are delicate and I prefer the square nail that does not hang over the skin)  the shading on the bottom of the foot and as Marianne pointed out the huge selection of nail polish (I love the shine of KOSH polish appliers) and shoes that are avaialble for both the flat and medium (tip toe) feet that are made with such detail. It seems more are available every few weeks. I love GOS shoes, not the ones that have feet built in, but I have a nice variety of regular shoes from them and have been happy. N-Core shoes as well, I feel they are one of the best shoes made that have built in feet, just not thrilled about neither of their stand alone feet.

It really comes down to personal choice, as most anything for your av. As another poster pointed out get demos and then you can see how they look, if the appear natural to you and how accurate and easy the skin matching goes. I am not sure about the skin matching in demos because I have never got a demo of feet or hands so I can't say whether you can see the ease of use to try and match the skin. I am sure someone else will be able to answer that for you.

Before Mesh Feet I used Maitreya.

I think you're still mistaken. Your quote from your original post that we're talking about states that "
A club owner who is threatened by a dj that plays at other clubs needs to re-evalute their business"
, as you rightly said. But that club owner wasn't the OP (the DJ). It was the club owner who rejected the OP's application. The application was rejected because the OP was also a club owner, and not because he "
is a DJ that plays at other clubs.
    "

No, I actually know what I wrote, I am not mistaken. I know what I meant also. We all know the OP is a club owner.. OK?? So you must not have read my original post about competition. The club owner is insecure is he/she is threatened by a dj A) working in other venues or B) Dj'ing and owning a venue. If you can't see that from all of my posts I don't know what to tell you. I won't go back and forth with you on this because it's petty word for word stuff.

    Next..

I know that, I didn't misread. Maybe my reply didn't convey that?
He is ALSO a dj not just a club owner. I think I clarified that in my reply. Maybe you have mistaken my reply.

Here is part of what I wrote in my reply "
A club owner who is threatened by a dj that plays at other clubs needs to re-evalute their business
." I didn't think I need to add anything else since his OP explained he was also a club owner.

Your post, even the part you quoted, only talked about DJs who work at other clubs and what you wrote
sounded as though you thought he didn't get the job because he worked at other clubs.
That's why I pointed out that he failed to get the job for an entirely different reason.

^^ Yep think we said this already.

A club owner who is threatened by a dj that plays at other clubs needs to re-evalute their business. If you have a dj group as another poster said, all clubs you dj at could benefit if you send out notices where you are dj'ing within your group. Some large compnies in RL will do something similar to promote one of their smaller companies. A little competition can't hurt.

I see nothing wrong with you mentioning your av and looks. This is a visual world, just because you are spinning doesn't mean people aren't looking too. I also find nothing wrong with your verbiage. Some replies you received were more of a personal attack on how you mentioned your looks and something about your typing. That is silly, if you read through the posts I see many grammatical errors and people that have replied on this thread have yapped about how wonderful they look in other threads.

I think you got some good advice from some experienced people here. Those are the posts I would take and think about what their messages were. I would not waste my time arguing with someone over an application, it's not worth your time. Don't stoop to their level either and publically air out your differences. Good luck.

I'm glad to see you haven't lost your touch.  I mean, why just give your opinion on a subject, when you can go out of your way to belittle the opinions of others in the process?

    ...Dres

Well Dres, I am glad to see you haven't lost your touch of posting after me even if it's the only post you make to the thread so you can do the same as you are accusing me of. Belittling people, please, read some of your posts and don't worry about mine. I am flattered how you follow me though. :)

You wouldn't know the definition of hypocrypte, now would you?

    I am counting down now....

I wouldn't say its wrong to say that it makes you "a plaything". It doesn't make you that for the good people, the ones who don't fear to use their brain and/or have some manners. But to the rest....well that just fits to describe them. Griefers will see this as an invitation (even more since many inexperianced users first action seems to be to turn on RLV and/or click random things). And dumb wannabe masters will think its an invitation to mess and play around with that person how they like.

To say it makes you look like a "plaything" is wrong. I use RLV for my inventory system and one of my closet systems. I have a texture board that uses RLV to share amongst the group also, does that make me a plaything? Absolutely not. You're right there are many dom wannabes and naive people, but that generalization of a "plaything" to anyone who uses RLV and to call the OP a troll was very *off*.

  10. Sometimes you just run into "advice givers" that ... Well I can't say ;) Last time I responded to someone after they said pretty rude things to me and called me a liar, It seems they RIC'd my post. So.. I am sure you get the point. I would not think that the word "stomp"  (the word can mean anything.. it's sl and people do make use of words as they feel)  can define anything about you. Enjoy.

To use RLV, labels you as a "plaything". I am sorry, but that is how it is. Using a security orb will not stop others from force teleporting you.

The RLV device used to "summon" you was probably of the milder kind, allowing you to teleport back when you rejected the animation, or maybe it allows you to teleport back on the third try. I never bothered with RLV myself, it is not my kind of thing. I want to be left alone when I want to be left alone, and if I go to adult places, I can sit on stuff myself. It sounds like it's not your thing either, or at least something you should turn off when you aren't in the mood to be toyed with.

Have you joined some groups in an adult place you visit?

If so, anyone who joins the group can look at the member list and see who is logged in. I bet that is what happened, someone was looking for a sub to play with and picked a female that showed online. One of the reasons I don't join groups such places. Most guys who consider themself "dom" is hapless.

Edited to add: I didn't know that RLV let you choose who you want to play with. Good to know, that makes it more tolerable. But I know... different people, different kinks.

Edited to add: I might think you are trolling... how can an adult female with a good vocabulary not grasp what "stomp" means in this context? Methinks you sound a bit too innocent and afraid for one who visit adult places and turn on RLV.

RLV does not make anyone a "Plaything" (I am sorry, that may be how it is to YOU)  Because it is also used for other things is SL besides what you described. Do you happen to know what they are? They have nothing to do with D/s or kidnapping or controlloing ANOTHER avatar. Look it up, because I find it hard to believe that you would not know that right?

You think she might be trolling, well others may have ideas and thoughts about what you may be doing by your post.

We have tried clearning the cachie both of them. Install and reinstall went to the load linden lab place. Just all the basic stuff. Firestorm reset inv I think we are running out of ideas. Did anyone else lose half there inv or anything or have any ideas on what to do?

Have you tried using the filters in the inventory panel to see if you can recover? When you say install, was it a complete clean install of the viewer? I didn't check the grid status yesterday, not sure if there was any maintenence going on. Always make sure you check that to see if LL is working on something.

I would suggest a clean install. Log into a place like Hatton after the install to completely allow inventory to load (you can see when it's done under the recent tab) and then log off and then back on. Don't do anything while the inventory is populating.

Not knowing how their inventory is organized, but some folders may inside others, not system folders, user created folders. Try searching for an item that is lost that your frind knows the name od and see if it appears in a different place then normal. Your friend can also join the Firestorm group to see if someone has another suggestion.

Obviously you may *think* you are very clever or you really don't understand that words have more than one meaning. Depending on the sentence in which they are used and surrounding words (I won't use the grammatical references for the words, I am keeping it simple) it changes. This may help you understand. Please read #2, #3 and #10. Hope this helps.

The OP has asked questions about building an avatar showing pictures of wanting a certain hair, clothes, etc. since new to sl. This is nothing new, the OP trying to simulate another resident as far as i see it.  The photo *may* have been a try at humor, I have no idea. I agree, the picture does not denote fat. Curves do not equal being fat.

I suppose it's just the way it came off then I dunno. I'm assuming she asked in a previous thread those questions as I haven't seen themin this thread. It's just the fat frownty thing seemed somewhat trollish in it's humor.

  17. Being unique is far better than being a sheep, right? I think you should come up with your own idea of what a cute avatar is , and be your own person. IMO it reflects on the type of person you are here. I would never want to copy someone's hair, shape, skin, etc. Go shopping and design an avatar that refelcts who you are or want to be.

  18. With technology today, any "credentials" physical or online can be Made up and look pretty good. I would hope that anyone in need of any type of counseling or any services such as that not even think about doing this in SL, how dangerous can that be? Well, it seems that Madeline, Dres & Drake covered much of the ground.

If someone is in need of any type of therapy or any kind of support, contactinfg a rl friend or relative to help them through tough times or an emotional need seems safest. They can also help the person get in touch with an agency.

No one can prove they have the credentials nor can we prove they don't. Seems quite a disaterous mix. I would AR someone that "claimed" to be abble to cousel or offer guidance to anyone here in sl.
