  1. Could it be Daytime Dreams? I have a post about it on my blog: http://fromsecondlifewithlove.blogspot.com/2011/12/am-i-dreaming.html
  2. http://fromsecondlifewithlove.blogspot.com/ Can you remember yourself as a little child, listening to fairytales and believing them to be true? When growing up, (most) people learn that these magical stories with happily-ever-after endings don't exist. Or do they? One thing is for sure: in Solandria, they do! Solandria has a beautiful, magical ambience. I highly recommend experimenting with the environment settings, because they can make your visit even better. Solandria seems to be divided into several parts. The biggest part is a field covered with flowers and mystical beings, like fairies and unicorns. There is also a very large, blue sphere, which is filled with stars and in which meditation sessions are held. Some cosy places can be found as well. These places include huts, waterfalls and even flower petals. They all contain poseballs, and therefore are an amazing shelter to lovers. In the mood for dancing? Then pay a visit to the stonehenge-like ballroom! If you're all fed up with the Winter, don't worry - Solandria also has a tropical part as well. This place is surrounded by waterfalls and by the sea. It's very soothing and relaxing. If you love the Winter like I do, then avoid the tropical part and instead visit the cold, snowy, yet very cosy part of the sim. Again, great for cuddling and being together! ~ Visit Overland Hills ~ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Overland%20Hills/95/189/25 [moderate] Want to discover more SL places? 3. I'm glad you like it! :matte-motes-big-grin:
  4. Back to Pino again - a few posts ago, I showed you the underwater world which can be found on this sim as well. But I really wanted to show the rest as well, so I am, back at Pino. It surely is one of my favourite locations; I've been visiting it ever since I became a SL resident. Let me start by saying this sim has a really diverse environment - some spots have an oriental atmosphere, some are very romantic and some look like those you will find in a fairy tale. However, they all have something in common: their peaceful atmosphere. First of all, I'd like to show you the temple. The temple is located near the hot springs and if you're looking for some quiet time, you should really visit it. It's also a great place for Asia lovers! Near the temple, you will find the hot springs. I love them, because they're so cosy and calming. They're also great to visit with your loved one, because there are lots of couple poseballs. To use all of them, you must join the group. The woods are located near the hot springs; they're behind the flowers. Here you will find many animal species and some really beautiful sighting. In the middle of the river, a bed can be found as well. When exploring the sim a bit more, you will find a lot of small islands. Houses are built on some of them, and anyone can enter, so they're great for homeless SL residents! Other islands provide a lovely scenery. I suggest you take a look around, because they're all different from each other.Oh, and you're right - there are actually horses standing in the water. Unfortunately, I cannot show you everything on this sim, because it's simply too large. However, I really want you to see this boat I found. It's located near the lighthouse and it's great for, uhm, things. Just go and have a look for yourself. Besides, it makes you feel like one of those rich people! ~ Visit Pino ~ http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pino/128/128/16 Want more? 5. After watching Avatar, I really hoped I could someday visit a place like Pandora, and I'm certainly not the only one who did. I thought I'd never be able to see such a place, still full of nature and wilderness. However, Second Life made it possible. Your Pandora tour starts here, in a safe shed. Over here, you don't have the risk of being attacked. What, attacked? Yes, that's right. This is a roleplay sim, which means there are people around here who fulfill their roles. For instance, some of them act and look like Na'vi, Pandora's original inhabitants. Please respect this and do not disturb these people. When entering this sim, you will come across something you can wear, which tells the others you don't wish to participate in roleplaying. It shows them you are non-combative, so you won't have to be on your guard for any unpleasant surprises. First of all, I highly recommend setting your environmental settings to midnight. When I first opened the door (actually two doors, but that sounds less dramatic) to Pandora, I didn't really know where to look. I was amazed by everything that surrounded me. The colors, the environment, the peace. It really makes you feel like you've just landed on another planet. The sim knows various landscapes. There are beaches, hills, woods and even islands in the air. One of them is actually a huge waterfall, which made me stop exploring for a while just to look at it. I tried to take a photo with me on top of it, to show you how huge it is, but I couldn't even find myself back on the picture! Make sure you don't forget to look for hidden caves and holes while you're travelling. Sometimes you need to look carefully, but inside of them, you will find some breath-taking places. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any couple poseballs down the sim. I did find many meditation balls. A lot of these can be found underneath the violet tree. If you've seen the movie, you probably know why. It must be a beautiful sighting to see everyone meditate... ~ Visit Telemaque ~http://slurl.com/secondlife/Telemaque/53/224/33 Want more SL travelling? 6. I'm sorry LoveAngeL, this didn't work for me, either. =(
  7. I'll try. I forgot to tell that I don't have this problem when logging in on other computers...
  8. I hoped I could tell you it worked for me as well, but... no luck. :matte-motes-frown:
  9. Hi folks, It's been a few months since I've first had this problem, and it hasn't gone away ever since. I hope you can help, because I really don't know what to do anymore. My avatar simply won't fully load. This problem started for me just after I had created some folders (clothes, hair, accessoires, etc.) to put my items in. Thing is, it looks like my avatar is loaded, but the items keep changing textures (I don't know if this is the right way to say it, so I'll show you some pictures): None of my items rezz properly, and it happens at every location. I have tried many things others suggested. As you can see above, I've tried a character test (many times). Even Ruth won't fully load! I've also tried rebaking textures, a new look, uninstalling SL... and probably other things, too, but I can't remember everything right now. The only thing that seemed to help was using a different viewer. However, it installed an update and now the same happens within this viewer. If anyone could help me, it would be really appreciated. I want my - fully loaded - avatar back. :matte-motes-frown: Best wishes, Lynn Shiu
