Can anyone please recommend classes where I can learn 1 on 1 how to build a HUD? I have looked at various tutorials but I am just not a tutorial person :catsad: Any help is highly appreciated :catvery-happy:

I am trying to upload my items to my shop. I am on SL viewer and have the following problem: I upload my stuff, fill in the blanks and all goes well. The items are GENERAL. As soon as I go to edit the item, it automatically turns to ADULT and WILL NOT let me change it back to GENERAL. As you can imagine, time is of the essence to me ... so no, I won't walk 10 miles if someone is friendly enough to drive me! Is it possible to hide the entire body to be able to make photos of only the clothing? I tried detaching everything but was left with thighs and nothing else to detach. Is there maybe an invisible avatar or how do people do this?

By the mesher I mean the person that made it, sold it, "SL languaged" it. @ Perrie: I don't know exactly if you are implying that I am not giving enough information. This "game" is extremely difficult. It doesn't only come with dice to throw but also it's own language which the "old" members love to use even although you tell them over and over that you started it a week ago and have no clue what they are talking about. I have to google the sentences first before I even know what people are saying. If I misunderstood, then forgive my ignorance.

Did all the above and after clearing the cache already and going to Smith, the lines were gone. I still did the character test and reloaded all the stuff onto my avatar. Unfortunately though, in any place a little more busy, the lines are back and yes, others see it too Also contacted the mesher 3 days ago but unfortunately no answer yet.

I have changed skins, clothing, shape, skin colouring from hand hud, everything I can think of but nothing changes with the hands, here is a pic of what I mean: Screenshot

I am having a problem with my hands. No matter what I change, there is constantly a thick brown line across the knuckles and around the thumb .... help anyone?

Not quite sure if this is the correct forum but I am looking for a step by step video/tutorial that takes me through getting my creation on to SL after having made it in Photoshop, as well as instructions on how to package, (I hear there are various ways of delivery) how to make a demo version, how to name it all and finally maybe a video/tutorial of how to get it into marketplace (picture size restrictions, links, etc.). I have googled and youtubed but unfortunately many tutorials are outdated. I use the SL viewer v3. Help is highly appreciated. Unfortunately also the classes are at times where I am in a comatose sleep ;) unless anyone knows of others that give classes throughout the GMT timezone?

Yes, that's very possible ... I really don't know how behind the scenes work ... and really also don't want to since its too technical for me at times but I did talk to a programmer who knows SL and he says that it shouldn't be such a huge problem. I told him to get in contact with LL. Maybe something could become of it and we can profit

Hello again Freya ... well all I can say is that other 3D games have this. One simple click and you have a 2048 x 2048 high resolution avatar with proverbial "hair sharp" edging

Would be really nice if SL would implement a tool to make high resolution snapshots of ONLY the avatar, without the entire background. It takes hours of work to master the pen tool in photoshop, especially around the hair. I have tried all other suggestions with making a plane in 1 colour and then erasing in photoshop but unfortunately the colour remains between the fine hair

I have tried various times no, I still have to resort to the pen tool, especially around the hair and that's a nogo for me

Yes Freya, I KNOW you are right, but I got the pen for my pinkie constantly falling asleep. Never had that problem since but I just now tried the blue chair option, managed to get the target finally but there is no way I could "play" or use a computer like this. I will try putting the mouse in for using SL. Luckily I can use both at same time so all I have to do is switch, thx

Wow, thx so much guyz, you have saved my day Zooming in is still a bit of a "game" but getting there. Unfortunately Ctrl + Alt + Pen is worse than orbit, it adds view from head and from feet now too lol .... but I will also try the other "blue chair" option. Thx Again

Ok, if I don't get this under control, I am ditching SL again lol. When I log on, I Have this view but I would like: This view I work on a Wacom Tablet and even when I want to zoom in on my face, I was told to hold Alt (get the little plus sign) and drag. Needless to say I end up in orbit nostly every time .... there must be some trick here, it's driving me nuts :(

I am using the latest SL viewer and when I click or right click on person I don't get any pie chart

Well, that's why I wrote without asking the person. Tried it 6 times today for over 2 hours in same room, avatar was moving around but got no answers. If there is another possibility, could you pls tell me?

If I see another avatar wearing something I really like, is there a possibility to "find out" with some tool, 3rd party software or whatever, what the items are (without asking the person)?
