  2. I think some of your replies are really unfair. I don't understand why we aren't allowed to use the forum like everyone else?

People seem to be more focussed on our signitures than on our interesting discussions wili :matte-motes-frown:

Take a step back for a second and read what we write on the forums and you'll see we're actually trying to have a valuable debate with people. Instead you decided to focus on signitures.........TROLL

  3. Yes, that is what I think too.

Once I rented an adboard for 4 weeks at 500L$ per week. It was in a high traffic sim with lots of people. I got like 4 clicks and none of them turned into customers. If I'd used an pay per click network I would have got more value probably...

  4. Well in a pay-per-click network you basically charge the advertiser per click. It is a bit like google adsense if you have ever used that.

Trouble with pay per click advertising is that the standard adboard rental per week is very strongly in peoples minds - even if the value is very low...

  5. Yes I think that Second Life is the best mmo. Second Life is definitely better than IMVU imho....

Really though I do think that Second Life should advertise more in order to beat IMVU - just my personal view...

But yes, I agree that Second Life is better because of the scripting features that lets you create more content.

  6. I think it is just another business model maybe?

I mean - you can either run a low-overhead model and try to get profit by minimising costs. Or, you can run a high overhead model and hope that effective advertisement will make back your costs.

Thing that SL users don't see I think is how EXPENSIVE advertising is. Must cost them a lot.

  7. Yes that is what I thought.

I do see this sort of chat room thing going on in some busy clubs too in SL. It's sort of like some areas are for exploring and others (because of lag) are chat rooms. I think though that as internet gets better maybe our 'chat rooms' will become better than IMVUs because of reduced lag maybe hmmmm
