Those who have access to Maya will blow away the Blender boys just as today those who use Poser for animations make those who use QVAnimator look silly. (For example -- 2 avis dancing in AVAnimator? Can't be done. In Poser -- a snap.Multi methods of transitioning in QVAnimator? Make me laugh!)
Also -- no increase in lag? Thats what they said about sculpties but we all know a sim full of sculpties means going to grab a drink and a snack while you rez. I envision of group of avis sitting in a circle around a blurry mesh talking about how great it will look once it finally rezzes.
And as usual -- SL is skipping the basics. We still have feet that look like a package of hotdogs. We still have no triceps. Why can't we do first things first?
