Think of these 2 releases as a beta, Patch said they were small releases. Long term they need to build new homes/boats to replace ALL those circa 2010 Linden homes so we'll be drowning in these houses "soon".
But I do think that new premium members who signed up from the announcement until a regular size release, whatever that is, get extra month(s )of membership ** if ** they didn't use any land benefits .
Like if a major delivery website blows the guaranteed date, you can request an extra month membership.
That would be a "good will gesture."

The sidewalks just killed Horizons for me. You can avoid the houses but can't get away from those shiny white eyesores.

For Patch and team-- I hope when the next style of Linden homes are introduced they will be loaded into the mailboxes--and not require a parcel abandon /move.
The landscaping and design of the parcels are so unique it would be hard to give up the neighborhood, friends and views we've gotten so fond of already.
Would keep the neighborhoods fresh looking too.

The other party does not like the house you are in as their "guest" or they'd be in it , so when they are tired of the loss of control , boom they abandon.
Just be sure the group rights you've given them don't let them get other goodies from the group or cause damage or get parcel sales proceeds etc.

Did they ever figure out if the old Linden homes can now have skyboxes since the newer rules that say OK to them are what you click to agree prior to getting assigned to one.
-
Linden waiting a full month makes sense since some people grabbed one ,or more houses, then the unforgiving tier fairy says "ok your highest level land owned in last month pushed you from $xx to $xx" and the premium member may go " oh the new house isn't worth an extra 7- 12-32 USD a month" and they abandon it.

Why is religion in this at all? Did the Lindens build these over a sacred burial ground?

the deployment was not done correctly
Really, they should have dropped thousands of homes and then had hundreds of tickets while they sorted through things that needed fine tuning?
If you are premium , you CAN get a Linden home and 512m tier credit. You may not like it but they are fulling their contract.
I had heard that the old Linden homes were computer done- homes plants spat out like from a nail gun and then tweaked a bit after.
Here you can see the handwork. Takes time.
What would have helped is after the first batch of regions had a week or two to settle if they had mirrored them (without resident stuff) to a new batch of regions elsewhere on the grid there by doubling the introduction.
Didn't they mirror Zindra way back?
An alt is an account that gets no discount , not even group bonus on Linden homes so that's that . You pay -you get.

How many traditional homes, on average, are on each region?
I'm wondering the finances of this project. Is Linden making more per region getting premium versus renting a full region out. And will they staff 24/7 to be great landlord?
Wonder how many landlords will close over the next year because of these new homes......

Not quite a "normal" suburban house, unless your bedroom has Grand Central station touches: https://vrroom.buzz/vr-news/business/meet-vr-pioneer-philip-rosedale-and-his-avatar

Picnic blankets with pg cuddles or just nosh poses in more private protected land (ie not under someone's window ) by rivers etc.
Long term , the LI on the houses could be redone to go down-- now 200 + when abt max 50 for same look in stores. Then the parcel prims could go up maybe.

I wonder though. Compared to a banline or ejection security script, I'd think something like the bees could be less disruptive (although I've never actually encountered them) inasmuch as they don't separate the vehicle from its operator, and shouldn't be as disorienting to a pedestrian as an llEjectFromLand or (god forbid) an llTeleportAgentHome.
I
The bees I ran into came out of hive and stuck to my avatar for probably 15 minutes until I left region, having crossed parcels etc. A ban line , I hate them, is a wall. Ejection- you go home or outside parcel-- how can having your avatar accosted and buzzed at not be pretty upsetting. It is an attack. And to keep attacking when the parcel is left, that's why I AR'd .
People in RL die from bee stings. It is disruptive and scary.

BEWARE OF KILLER BEES!!!!!!
I've run into a bee "alarm" they followed me across the region. I advised region owner who had store with home rentals, she had them removed. I think they are harassment , it goes on and on with them following. I filed an abuse report on them also, it is like griefing
It was just nasty. Not one bit funny. If being alone is that important move your hive to a skybox.

SSP?
in Linden Homes
Will these be standard Premium homes or a new higher level of cost?
When will they be available? By auction? Random free landing?
How much effort will LL put into enforcing the look and feel-- those stupid empty skyscrapers really wrecked Horizon. Will a Linden roll the streets in a golf cart and return out of theme stuff? REALLY?

Are the main channels being restarted today also? They aren't on the original list but on the maintenance list today .....
-
Any chance the planned reboots can be posted- like they were in the old system so we'll know when the next full grid reboots will occur-- makes planning hunts, events easier for residents,
What is going to happen this week isn't even up.

Hi- can the deploy schedule be broken off in a nice box on the side bar ,like in the old forum, so that we don't have to a) scroll down to look b) have to open more screens ?
-
Not specific to this issue but WHY are the posters profile photos on the left designed so that 80% or more of the names not visible but blotted out by the graphic? Why can't the avatar/poster name be black against white on top or bottom of the visual?
-
I'm a JIRA noob but looks like it was closed. I don't see a duplicate .
So that's that I guess. I've stopped auction shopping .
-
I'm seeing , blank, Google maps in the auction map ??? So, will they include flying instructions too? "Bank left at Bay City -- lower to 4 m and come in for a landing "
Or is SL land really real?

Please let every landlord know you are just there for a week. Their rental system may hold the parcel for a few days grace period if you don't pay by the seventh day. Aside from their set-up time for a one week rental, you don't want to cost them unpaid rent.
If you have more than one home ..

I assume the Lab legal ok'd this statement? I'm sorry if someone PAID for a level of benefits and then the company says 'be nice, give us the money but don't use the benefits" it is kind of implying the INTENT was never to supply enough homes. I didn't realize there was a list of "beyond what is expected." What behavior is "expected"?
I *don't* believe that the Lab had "bad" intent , I see the empty regions waiting but statements like this do not help, in my opinion.
And setting residents against each other is NOT community building. (Neither is the parcel sniffing pack of people , google doc-ing number of prims and parcel traffic--get a LIFE)
As I said in another thread, yes I believe it is time for "kindness and generosity "--and it should come from the Lab. If someone bought premium when the new homes were announced , did not get one OR USE ANY LAND BENEFITS , they could get a premium credit until Linden releases a LARGE number of new homes. No cash back, just membership time extension. Don't even pay the the extra stipend, just give them the extra time to snag a new home. Who loses with this?
