  1. Hi, I got a standard avatar sizes file at sl mp SL Standard sizes I'm using Maya 2013. The included Maya files are useless, because they are dependent on vray and turtle plugins, but the .fbx file seems to load, however, the skeleton looks messed up like this: Is there some way to fix this or some other place I can get a set of SL Standard sizes for Maya 2013? TIA
  2. Thanks, the FBX files went right in. I'm not very proficient at Maya, I'm just blundering my way through using a friends computer, trying to rig some free .DAE files I got from FATEcreate to standard SL avatar sizes. I'm getting there, little by little. --||-
  3. The files are from the Standard Sizing Package on market place https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Standard-Sizing-Package-Updated-Male-Female/2894727 When I open the files, there are no layers, no skeletons, no avatars, no bones or anything I can use to rig mesh.
  4. I get these errors trying to open Standard Sizes & Rig Scene - Male & Female MAYA 2012.mb in Maya 2013. I don't have vray, is there a way around this? TIA # Error: line 1: RuntimeError: file <maya console> line 1: Plug-in, "vrayformaya.mll", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH. # requires "Mayatomr" "2012.0m - 3.9.1.36 "; requires "stereoCamera" "10.0"; requires "Turtle" "5.3.0.2"; # Error: line 1: RuntimeError: file <maya console> line 1: Plug-in, "Turtle.mll", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH. # // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'vrayEnvironmentPreview'; preserving node information during this session. // // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'TurtleRenderOptions'; preserving node information during this session. // // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'TurtleUIOptions'; preserving node information during this session. // // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'TurtleBakeLayerManager'; preserving node information during this session. // // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'TurtleDefaultBakeLayer'; preserving node information during this session. // // Warning: line 0: Unrecognized node type for node 'vraySettings'; preserving node information during this session. //
  5. Hi, I'm trying to Get an objects name in a linkset on touch by the owner. Is there a function to do this?
  6. Thanks for your help. I needed the menuMaker subroutine, since I don't want to issue menu commands from chat, I want the menu to pop up with a chat command. I added a conditional to check for the chat command "resize" to invoke menuMaker in the listen subtoutine and an additional menuMaker call at the end of the resizeObject subroutine to keep the menu up until the user is finisher resizing.
  7. Changing the channel to 7 works, but if I remove touch_start, or even just comment out the one line if (llDetectedKey(0) == llGetOwner()) makeMenu(); in touch_start, chat commands no longer work. I have another script that responds to touch, so I need to remove that from the resizer script.
  8. I'm trying to change Brilliant Scientist's Linkset Resizer to use a chat command form the owner instead of touch_start I got the menu to come up using a chat command, but the changes seems to break the resizer function. Is there a simple way to implement this change? I assume the code goes into state_entry. TIA
  9. I'm fairly sure that's the 1st gen template. The description of the next gen template includes various layers for strings, shadings and promises to be skimpier
  10. I found a full perm Free bikini template mentioned by Vint Falken, but the link to the file is dead. I can't find the files anywhere else. Does anyone know if this template is still available anywhere? TIA
  11. Viewer 2 was working fine. I installed Viewer 3, but when I start it, it crashes at detecting hardware or initializing VFS with this error, The instruction at "0x003e01ff" referenced memory at "0xa83eff7". The memory could not be "written" Now viewer 2 won't start either, giving this error, The instruction at "0x003e01ff" referenced memory at "0xb80304cf". The memory could not be "written" Win XP sp3 all current patches from windows update. nvidia 260GT, 4 G RAM, i7 quad CPU I installed the latest video driver, uninstalled all viewers, deleted program files caches files and app data files, rebooted, reinstalled the viewer, same results. I even did a scan for viruses. What can I try next? EDIT: I seem to have fixed the problem by going into safe mode, uninstalling the nvidia graphics driver and SL viewer, rebooting and reinstalling the driver in custom mode, this time without installing nview option. Then I was able to install the SL viewer 3 and start it and login. Yay!
