  1. A System with linked shortcuts for me it's unacceptable.

Imagine after months or years (if you are like me) some shortcuts stop to work!!!!!

Go find your original folders and oufits then!

P.S. that's why when I mentioned in V.2 discussions, I'm talking for a "noob" perspective design. A user (creator - designer in SL) after 2-3 years can have 25000-30000 and more items in he's/her inventory.

  2. I tell you what I'm doing and I hope it helps you

First of all sort your inventory the way you like. I always sort by name and unchecked the "system on top" that's the most confusing thing in inventory.

Then make your own files for everything (try to give short but clear titles) for example I put my clothes in "Smoothie's outfits and in there I have "clothes general" also in files  I have  tops - pants - underwear - jewelry -hair -accessories e.t.c. I have my full body/skin/eyes/nails in a separate folder and everything in a handy named file. Another trick is to shorting except by name by putting !!!! or ****  in front of files so the sorting it's going more detailed (more goes up in the inventory less goes a bit above). Try to move objects in separate files because after a while you don't remember what is for what.

(Example Files: Huddles - Dances - Ani Pose Balls - Buildings/Homes - Tools - Notecards 2009/2010/2011 also LM's by category and year or even more by month)

IF you have items that you don't need rez a box and put 'em in there with a info notecard if you want to remember what's those things are,  give it a helping title and then take it back and delete any copies you have separate in your inventory, that's a nice way to reduce items.

In time you can figure out your ways too

P.S. Take your time to avoid mistakes (sometimes when you drag items you can drop 'em by accident in a folder you don't want LOL that's happen to anyone, so be patience.

I didn't made my inventory instantly also.

  3. This is from the knowledge base. So we can undestand what we talking about!
A basic account gives you full access to Second Life with no membership fees and does not require a credit card or PayPal account.
However without a credit card or a verified PayPal account you cannot:
        * Get a premium level account.
        * Own land.
        * Buy or sell Linden Dollars.
Often the initial agreement can't be set up due to an unverified PayPal account. To use your PayPal account with Linden Lab, it must be verified with a bank account.

So you can have PayPal and that should be verified with a bank account. You don't need to have a premium membership to do so.

Also you can work and get L$ and own your home in a private region, that giving you the freedom to keep your basic account.

But you can't change internal L$ with real $ to pay your subscription, the only way is to exchange 'em

  4. Even if I didn't have the same problem, but I'm using a lot of other viewers and mostly Phoenix, I realize that my SL experience is getting worst and worst every time I logged in and the main reason is the jumping through different kind of viewers.

Many times lately I see ppl to TP in my sim and after a while (1-2 min tops) to TP out without doing anything. I started to suspect that something weird going on. Sales are dropping dramatically and very few ppl staying after TP in.

Today I decide to check some of my own old Landmarks, after my first try I figure out that TP's are almost impossible!!!! many sims never get loaded in my viewer,  I crashed a lot of times and  the whole attempt was a failure.

As result? I quit and I did my housekeeping and other things.

So I think SL experience getting very unpleasent lately, people are bored to try more and they quitting.

I remember my first days in SL back in 2007 frequently crashes but todays never ending loading of an avatar and a destination it's much worse than a crash, it brakes nerves.

Someone needs to look what's going on.

P.S. and please don't respond to me with any technical guides for setting up preferences e.t.c. I know those things very well indeed. But when I logged as a noob in SL I didn't touched anything in my preferences and for a couple of years I lived just fine with.

.....Oh and another sure way to get them to leave you alone is tell them yes, but it will cost them 5K an hour lol. Normally sends them running. And if they don't, hey its an easy 5K lmao. Jump on a pose ball and go get a sandwhich while they perve out.

    That's was my way. LOL

  6. I agree for DAZ especially,

in many cases faces expressions, for example, are sheer frustration.

I think technology and art are the most difficult elements to combine. We will see better creations with these tools when real artists decide to play with this technology.

Technology itself it's nice but without the human talent it's an empty bucket tho.

As about your short biography? it is maching so close to mine Don't mention freq the C64 - Spectrum era, it reveal our age. LOL (that's a big one LOL heh!)

Also take into consideration that before the 16 and 17 year olds were permitted to access the main grid, SL was entirely an adults-only, must-be-over-18 environment where virtually any sexual behavior short of kiddy porn was socially acceptable and completely anonymous.

Approaching someone you don't know in SL isn't the same as approaching a stranger on the street in RL. It's more like approaching a stranger that is hanging out in a swingers club next to the nude beach in red light district. There's a far higher probability that a sexual advance will be taken positively, because they are voluntarily in an environment where sexual advances are commonplace. And if the first person you ask doesn't respond positively, there's plenty more to choose from that probably will. This environment is extremely attractive to anyone seeking to fulfill a sexual fantasy, and as such, you'll get a lot more people, of both genders, who are pre-disposed to being open and frank about their sex fantasy desires, and who will jump straight from "Hi!" to "You wanna ******?", without ever bothering to get to know the person. Just like in a swingers bar.

I totally agree and if we try to look deep inside in every one of us, I think will find that's one of the reasons we choose SL to login in.

I think also that, the feeling of been desirable it's irresistible and for some seniors of us (like me) if we been that pretty in the past RL it’s unforgettable also.

  8. Get in world and visit as many avatar creators you can (skin/shape creators). Find those who you like their work and contact with them. Maybe you find someone that willing to do your custom work. Also take a look at marketplace (maybe you can find there a custom avatar creator straight away).

But I think with petience and a lil work you can make your way, by edit a skin by your own.

possible I misunderstood your post. perhaps it lost in the translation. I read it like sarcasm, and not at all helpful with regard to learning how to create a hud.

you pay for such script to make your HUD you like and that call "investment"

in other words you search for the perfect shoe HUD and you want it for free :smileywink:

    nice

scripters doing exactly that job and they don't do it for free :smileyvery-happy:

that is the first and a lil humorus but did ya read my almost immediate second post?

  10. I think from your way of posting, you completely misunderstanding me.

I said you can learn how to do it, by learning LSL yourself, but that it's hard and takes long time and effort (not impossible!)

I didn't wrote anywhere, that I'm the genious who knows everything.

    If you want an example:

When I made one of my best selling products (some years back) I paid for a custom script 10000L$ and I've got it full permission. That was an investment for me and it paid me 100's times back.

If I tried to learn LSL I don't know when (or if at alI) could managed to put that thing out for sale.

That's a commerce principale. "If you have a good idea you can use any source (and help) you can to get it work for you in the most shortest time it's possible".

If something is already out there it isn't logic to try to re-invent it. Shoe scripts are out there for years and most of them are excellent.

Ofcourse you can go with your time and do the way you like. I didn't say you can't.

P.S. Participating in forum it's something I like to do trying to help ppl.

That I tried to do for you too.

you will need somewhere to host your magic box so there is a fee for that whether you pay LL direct for premium to have land or rent a space from someone else excluding that there are no direct fees

yes I forgot to mention that too. Homeland for your magix box is mandatory. ty Clair :)
