I know this will be so simple for most on this forum, so forgive me. I have a script in a group inviter and I just want to make the display font size larger. I have looked for an answer with no luck so I hope someone can help. The relevant part of the script is, I think... state_entry() { llSetText("Touch to join group",<0,0,0>,1); } I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how to increase the size. Many thanks.

Please could some-one explain how I can automatically send a note-card of information and rules to people who join a group that I have recently created? Been a member of SL for a long time, but please assume zero tech knowledge when replying:) Thanks.

I know I remember there being a way to change your Display Name - not login name - in SL. I know there was 'cos I did it But I can't see where to do this now. I don't mean the name that you can pay to change... just the one that appears in your tag in world. Can anyone jog my memory where this can be done now please? Thanks.

Thanks Brenda. Just in mitigation and so we don't look too stupid, :matte-motes-dead: that entry wasn't up when we posted here or when we were trying to log in as it's been going o nfor a while.

Same issue for me with Firestorm; tried many times. Also cannot log into My Secondlife.

Has anyone noticed that these pesky things are playing up? I have unchecked the boxes so that I do NOT save a log on local chat not IMs on my computer. However, I recently noticed that such logs are saved anyway. I may be imaginig it, but this might have started around the time of server-side rollout. This happens in more than one viewer, by the way. Anyone else having the same? Anyone know how to stop it?

.. why is it that my viewer sometimes hangs at this point on log in? It sometimes makes 3 attempts at this point before moving on. When it does this, my SL then doesn't work properly - I have no friends list or groups, media does not work (buttons are greyed out) and TPs fail. Any ideas anyone?

The huge majority of makers and sellers on SL go out of their way to be helpful. But does anyone have any thoughts on how to deal effectively with the minority? A case in point - a friend just bought a relatively expensive item for her club, when she opened the box it simply rezzed the item with no instructions, notecards, manual etc. Despite her experience she was unable to get the thing working so IMed the maker for some help. The reply was simply and word for word "cough, bs". Despite a number of further polite requests for help no other reply was forthcoming. She's left with a heap of junk, a rage of frustration and a couple of grand down. How can we weed out these folks? Who has some novel suggestions?

I'm trying to get an idea of how SL or 3rd party viewers would run on a fairly low spec system, so I'm looking for a balance between functionality and low resource useage.
