  1. Over the last 3 or so years there has been major improvement in men's apparel in SL. There are also fashion blogs that cater specifically to men and show a variety of styles.

Here's a blog that is a great resource for men's clothes MENStyle: http://www.slmenstyle.com/

One of my favorite menswear designers is Rob Moonites he owns FIR & MNA and the MENStyle blog, and he has one the largest men's group inworld that you can join to get notices from tons of men's designers.

You also have one stop shopping places like http://madimage.wordpress.com/ which is also a huge resource to discovering new designers.

  2. The fashion industry in SL is highly saturated there are tons of designers. My first advice to you is to do your research thoroughly to see what's going on. There are fashion feeds you can look at to see what all the fashion bloggers are blogging, the fashion blogs are also a good source for finding clothing stores to go visit.  Figure out what level of quality gets the most attention, keep an eye out on trends so you know what's current. All of this will help you figure out how you are going to develop your brand. Because there are so many designers making clothes, branding is extremely important.  Quality and presentation are also important, people can afford to be very picky because there are so many choices out there.

P.S. Oh and everything has been done to death, it's just a matter of how you put your spin on it.  :)

  4. Hi all,

This is 15 rentals on 1/4 region. A mini community on mainland waterfront. 10 bungalows and 5 skyboxes.

How much would you pay weekly to rent a really nice bungalow with a 100 prim allotment?

How much would you pay weekly to rent an already furnished bungalow with a 75 prim allotment?

    thanks in advance  :)

  5. It's not about 'vanity' to me. It's about appreciating the creators who make Second Life a great place to virtually live. Without terraformers, texture creators, scripters, builders, furniture makers, scupt makers, Second Life would be a flat and boring grid .We should appreciate and respect the people who make Second Life a place that is functional, full of beauty, full of fun and a place that is unique to any other virtual platform.

We have a fashion forum which is great, without fashion designers we wouldnt be able to express ourselves through our avatars.  Our homes are another extension of our virtual expression.  It would be great to have a place in the Community Forum to show appreciation to the builders of Second Life.

  6. Hi all!

I have no experience in Child Avatars but I got curious and asked my fashion buddies on Plurk about shapes.

I got two names,  Daisie Teardrop who is on the Marketplace:  https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/32907

and Loren Pfeffer.  Both are at this sim:  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/San%20Leandros/151/131/41

Yes Oracul on the Kuso sim has AO's that include a child and teen version on each AO HUD.

As far as skins there are a lot of skin designers who are now making base skins due to the seperate makeup tattoo options.  I would suggest the Curio skins by Gala Phoenix, I think that skin would be appropriate and has freckled options.
