Can I run SL on this laptop?

Recently bought a new laptop as a back up for my desktop. Just wondering if I could runb SL on it so I can be a lazy resident and log in from my bed! I understand it wont be as good as my desktop....but hoping for a relatively lag free SL!

Windows 7 Home Premium(64b)

4gb Memory

Graphics Card - AMD HD6470M gDDR3 1gb

 

I'm not overly knowledgable on this sort of thing! The system requirements page didnt really help me at all. The way I read it.....the gfx card doesnt seem overly great. Hopefully I'm wrong and SL shouldnt be so bad for me. REALLY would like to be a lazy resident if possible!! LOL

IN RESPONSE TO VALERIE! - I've run SL perfectly on a wireless connection from my desktop for over 4 years! SL doesnt seem to hate it so much xD

SL should run correctly on this laptop BUT if you want to use it in bed, you'll have to get a loooong cable to connect it. SL hates wireless so you might experience lag and frequent crashes if you don't use a regular cable!...

The latest official viewer is way much more demanding than the past versions, especially if you're going to enable shadows and DOF, believe me! I wish you an awesome "SL in bed" time Kiki!

Should be able to.  Probably squeeze a little bit more performance oomph out of it by switching to a Windows Classic theme or change over to Linux.

I run SL on wireless all the time, no issue. Windows might hate wireless (it tends to), or your wifi router might hate that level of traffic, but there's no issues inherent with SL on wifi that you wouldn't have with every other program as well.
