Is there a charge for free basic account cancellation?

I signed up for a free basic account here in second life and cancelled it  and when i looked at the account summary there was a statement of charge for $9? will i be charged and i didn;t know about this when i pressed cancell account

Hello sheyjae and welcome to SL Forums. There is NO charge in order to delete any account. On the other side there is a charge if you want to re-activate an account you have deleted. Check out your Account History to see where your US$ gone.

If you cancelled your account, how you can see the Account summary of that account?

BTW US$9.95 is the fee for reactivate an account.
