You don't get any refunds from Linden Lab.  It's one of the "all sales are final, no refunds" deals.  It's stated very clearly in the ToS that you agreed to when you signed up.  You know, like that sign behind the cashier at your local thrift store.  If you didn't read it then shame on you.

 

But, as Love pointed out, you do have the option of "cashing out" any linden dollars you have left in your account.  When you do that you are not getting any refund from Linden Lab but, instead, selling your lindens to other residents who want or need them for themselves.  There is a fee to do that for handling and processing so you will not get every penny's worth of the lindens you sell.  There's also fees that places like PayPal charge.  Selling your lindens (or "cashing out") is a transaction outside Linden Lab realm of business.......they merely handle the sale which you pay for in the fees charged to you.

 

Unless something's changed recently there is a minimum that you can cash out.  Something in the order of $10.00 USD equivalency (or approximately 2,500 lindens).
