how do i make a cinema

I want to make  cinema in Second Life. How many Prims do i need and do i have to rent out or buy land?

You need 1 prim - on which to display the film.  (How many more you'd need for the building, seats, interior and exterior features is anyone's guess, it depends entirely on what you want it to look like, how many people you want to be able to seat, etc.)

You need a public-performance licence for any film you will be showing.

You can either rent or buy land.  Some may not allow commercial use, which will be an issue if you intend to charge for access.  Others may have a limit on the number of people who can attend at the same time.  If you 'buy' land, from Linden Lab, there is still a monthly 'tier' fee, so beyond the free 512sqm premium members are allowed you will always have to pay regularly.
