Knowl Paine
Welcome to Second Life, "Clonedlife", is a very cool name. Is that your Avatar's Inworld name? I find value in the name a Resident selects for their Avatar, a name can be very telling as to the type of experience one might encounter with that Resident. When looking for friends, I like to look very carefully and would recommend the same practice to all Residents. I think a Resident would have to be near you to whisper to you, but I thing you were making a play on words. A shy person would want others to give a "shout out" to them. The phrase "hit me up" is my least favorite; especially when a woman request it. A great way to meet other Residents who share similar interest, is to search out your interest in SL. If you cannot find your exact ideal; you create it. Good luck, have fun, maybe I will see you in one of the many Sandboxes. (open Inworld map, type Sandbox into the search window, choose a location, click teleport)
Lyra Blackthorne
I met people by searching through the SL events for activites that mentioned new residents or were events I had a RL interest in, like live music. Also the NCI location at Kuula was great. Taking classes was very valuable in helping me understand SL, learn skills and meet people too; classes are in Events/Education
