Celty Westwick
Had not thought about this, but was asked about scripting a open close for a mesh door. The pivot point on mesh i guess is centered in the object. Any thoughts?
SaintDespair
Can you set the center of the mesh when creating it?
Mikki Miles
it's not possible to set a custom pivot, atm. Drongle described a work around here: Pivot work around
Void Singer
there are three options... use drongle's trick to force offsetting the center when the mesh is made (this is a variation of the cut root for prims) use a linked prim as the root for the mesh and rotate on that (this is the old hinge trick) use the old sloppy move and rotate code which could be even more finicky with mesh. (this is how most door were built ages ago) the first two tricks can be use with smooth rotation techniques, the last one will only do stepped rotations.
