It may be the SL grid or your internet connection- account has been inactive for a long time, just upgraded to premium and got a house. have not been able to log in at all log in screen not showing the location drop down to the right either Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(I'm not sure how to do this myself, but it is a possible cause). Also, make sure your internet connection is up to the task keeping in mind that SL is very demanding on both speed and quality for the connection. Check your speed and quality by running the tests at http://www.speedtest.net/ and http://www.pingtest.net.
