Second Life Viewer 2 crashes after initialising VFS

As soon as I open the viewer it crashes after initializing VFS. It used to work fine recently.

I have tried rebooting, uninstall and reinstalling the SL viewer but no luck. Please help.

 

Ok I deleted this folder

• Windows 7 - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife

 and it worked. However, I need to log in advanced mode. If I change to Advanced mode and then quit, it wont start again!

There are majors issues with the latest update (as you can see reading these forums today). Try deinstalling the viewer completely and revert to the previous version or use a TPV until the (many) bugs are fixed:

I decided to keep things simple and just reinstalled the previous version:

Second Life Viewer 2.7.2 Build 233432

Works perfectly (again)!

I solved this problem by doing this

Delete the following folder

C:\Users\<user name>\App Data\Roaming\Second Life

 

Then go in SL Viewer 2

Open in BASIC mode..dont alter it at this point

Login in the usual way

 

Now exit

Select viewer 2 again

Select Advanced mode

 

It should now work
