Rumpus Room 2048 in Linux

Recommended Posts

None of the TPV's can properly render the ground from there yet. With a simple tweak*, got the Windows Materials Featurettes viewer to work in Wine-dev. Unlike my last test in Win11, cranked the settings for PBR here up full, but used medium graphics. I can finally see the textured ground from my house on the other side lol!

*I ran the GTX 1050 GPU in Performance mode. Hybrid mode prevents the viewer from running at all. Distro is Ubuntu Studio LTS 22.04.4, latest wine-dev @ 9.5, no extra DLLs or winetricks, no special frontends like Lutris.

SLV incorrectly reported CPU speed, it was running at 4.1 GHz. Anyone else tried this experiment in a faster (or slower) PC, in whatever Linux distro? Show me your tests! 🙂🐧💻

Bumping... can any of the TPVs with PBR turned on fully rez the textured ground at 2048 right now? Still haven't found any that can do so, at least for my laptop. Doesn't matter which OS I use. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed for Linux and Windows.
