Second Life Viewer - Can I derez?

I have an obnoxious neighbor - can I permanently derez objects I assume she assumes will bother me - using the Second Life Viewer? And if not, does anyone know why not?

I'm sorry if this has been covered ad naseum elsewhere. I couldn't find it. I seem to be able to block an object but that doesn't seem to be doing anything.

the Linden viewer doesn't have a permanent derender option.  Why I dunno.  We have to use a TPV (third party viewer) to do this

Thank you elleevelyn. I thought maybe the function was buried somewhere. I'm not loving how the SL viewer keeps forcing me to update all the time either - so off I go. I hear the third party is more fun anyway.

I love being able to derender eyesores in Firestorm.

But I have also to say, in case your neighbor rezzes things that are wildly offensive, causing much lag or are encroaching into your property, report it to LL they usually fix those very fast. (I would say talk to your neighbor first but it sounded like this would be futile, from your post.)

Some people on Mainland are for some reason wildly aggressive without ever talking to you, never understood those people that are just pissed off that you are occupying parcels next to them XD I had such a neighbor too, he moved by now and it never bothered me further after I reported his temp rezzer helicopter and it was sent back by Governance x3
