Your source for everything SecondLife

 

An Introduction
                                                     
    First off, we would love to welcome you to OMNIA! We are a brand new magazine to hit the grid, focusing on bringing awareness regarding the many facets of creativity within SecondLife. 

    You may ask, "Why OMNIA? What does it mean?". Well, OMNIA is Latin for 'Everything'. A word that easily encompasses why this magazine was created.

    Our hopes are that OMNIA will be your source for anything and everything within SL. A tool to also help our readers discover new trends, underground designers, unknown yet amazing musicians and that we're able to promote more Art, Culture, Inclusivity and Diversity. 

    We look forward to what lies ahead on this new journey and we welcome you along this ride with us. 

 

 

Team Positions


★ Photographers 
        Photographers are the soul of OMNIA. Your images will bring life to our concepts and convey the right message to our audiences. You will need to have extensive photo manipulation experience with working knowledge of the full Adobe Suite. In addition to taking amazing pictures, you may be asked to compose ads as needed. 

★ Writers
        Writers are the heartbeat of OMNIA. Your stories and ideas are brought to life with beautiful words. Your words bring life to Art, Culture, and trends, You dig deep to discover the best for interviews, music, and important topics! Do you have great writing ideas? Is there something that you are just dying to write about? OMNIA is your home for creative minds. Write what you are passionate about in addition to what OMNIA is passionate about.

★ Scouts
        Scouts are the eyes and ears of OMNIA. You go out into the Grid, hunting down the best trends, competition, publication ideas, potential clients for interviews, underground and unknown businesses and designers. You scout the best Art, Culture, and Music on the grid to be featured. 
        
★ Marketing Director
        Our Marketing Director is the breath of OMNIA. They are responsible for getting the OMNIA name out there. Our Marketing Director finds ways to promote the publication, places to put our publications and working side-by-side with the CEO to organize our monthly issue events. You will need to have a thorough understanding of all aspects of marketing in addition to excellent communication, creative, analytical, research, interpersonal, organizational and strategic thinking skills. 

★ Editor
        Editors are the brain of OMNIA. They are responsible for working directly with the CEO in selecting articles and planning publication contents. They are specialists in creating story ideas, managing writers, editing content and managing the production process of the magazine. OMNIA Editors have superior standards, Editors must have vast knowledge of the Adobe Suite, including InDesign for designing, processing and organizing every page and aspect of each monthly publication. 

 

This magazine is still in it's infancy, so if you would like to join something at the ground level and help it to rise, now is your chance!

Yes! All positions are paid positions! Pay rates weren't yet decided at the time of posting but they will be talked about during interviews!

Thank you! I am interested in being a writer or scout, I have to think on it and get back!

While I am not going to apply I am wondering how important Adobe Suite might be :D.  If you are having trouble getting those photographers (ad makers) it might be because the whole world doesn't use Adobe (on purpose LOL).  That's my two cents. Best of luck to you.
