Unable to teleport beyond region of initial login - Linux Viewer - Help!

Hi!

I'm unable to teleport to anything beyond the region which I'm in when I login. Also of note, my items do not load nor do the names on my friends list. Waiting patiently does not fix this -- they simply do not work. When I do try to teleport, the viewer stalls and then eventually logs me out.

For what it's worth, I'm using the Linux viewer but can duplicate the issue with the Phoenix viewer. Help! This wasn't happening last weekend when I was on SL..

If the console messages help, I've saved a good bit of the messages it outputs.

After further review, the problem was related to a down nameserver. Sorry! Working now (:

Glad to hear you figured it out before I noticed your call for help.  8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are your friend, in case you need it in the future.
