Jenn Rowley
So when designing we all know you can't upload textures past 1024x1024. But what about resolution and other settings to get best 1:1 with what it will look like in second life. Like 16bit, 32bit and so forth. Color spectrums. Is there a guide or is everyone just winging it. Edited December 4, 2020 by Jenn Rowley

You can upload textures with up to 2048x2048 resolution, but it will be downscaled to 1024x1024. And personally I just go with 16-bit. For no other reason than that I feel that is enough for me

Textures get compressed onto SL's servers and sent to people's video cards at 8 bits per channel AFAIK. Working in 16 or 32 bits per channel probably won't gain you anything.
