What happens to an avatar's prims/objects, when the account is inactive for long or is deleted?

Just like it says in the title. Have a good friend who has quite a number of objects on our land, but hasn't logged in for over 5 months now. What happens to their prims/objects, when the account is inactive for very long or the account is/gets deleted?

If the object is rezzed inworld, it will stay there until someone deletes or returns it even if the account is closed.
