I have tried a few but one that i keep coming back to is Gcs:  grim combat system
Enjoying the quests from the npc and the mindless bopping and shooting at times too.

Have yet to fully play with Interlink System: from cocoon

Latest update includes:
- Street Rep compatibility to new NPC mechanics.
- Gang NPCs now spawn in Cocoon Station alleyways, which drop Loot Room door codes.
- New Loot Rooms levels updated in Cocoon Station.

ccs: was ok i didn't feel it was anything new in my experience

Kos: have yet to try this

I am sure there are others i can name but what are your experience of a good meter/hud and what would you like to see for future hud/meters??

If Cocoon is the one I'm thinking of, pretty sure I was kicked from the group from inactivity... Not sure, but I'll have to check this again once I'm back in game.

CCS - Is that still being update? Last I check their webpage hasn't been updated in years and appears some parts are broken now. And their sim (CoLA) was closed, rebuilding?

I've tried DCS years ago, but I think thats no longer supported either? I could be wrong.

Yes dcs is no longer supported from what i remember.

That is a good point how many systems are up to date?
because they could still be available and could be broken or just not function!

I used to play BNWCS too their website is gone now too. http://www.bnwcs.org/  Brave New World Combat System I think? Was just a fun straight shooting system for pvp.  Sadly most that I have played in the past havent stood up to the test of time. 😕

Don't think i heard of bnwcs, the issue i think is how to keep pvp players and pve players happy.

PvP
------

- Capture the flag (getting a flag to the other opponents area)
- Capture the area  (Staying in the opponents area until that has been captured e.g. 20 seconds)
- Sparring or Dueling (1 on 1 done in an arena or training ground for training too)
- Free for fall aka death match (last one standing wins)
- Team pvp (gank away)

Main issue is that they could just gang up on someone aka ganking but if there was a rule/honor code that deducted points by the gm could reduce that.
Alternatively having Team pvp could be the main mode that would allow this encouraging to team up.
Also the hud /meter could just register one person only and that name would appear on the opponents hud and the other.

Level of player is another issue with pvp giving a player a distinctive advantage regarding abilities or even dmg. If the level was not the focus rather the skill abilities and class role
this could be an option.

Levels could be for level enabled area for better match up this could be locked to those not in that level.
However those at higher levels going into lower levels will beat the same lower level or even lower with a handicap if their stats e.g. elimination ratio is higher

PvE
- Story lore driven with quests
- Roleplay within the story for added immersion
- Exploration and finding items
- Npc's that give pve players some challenge
- Farming, crafting, and having ingame economy

Main issue i see with pve is that certain story lines could be redone with a reskin and relabeled making the experience repetitive.

Adding special events could bring more attention such as:

- New quests with a different game mode
- bonus xp weekends or special events
- Reskin item with perk e.g.  Aegis Shield repells 10% of debuffs back to target when health is under 60% (earned by completing quests or special events even crafting)
- Player controlled npc that gm's use to bring an unpredictable element in pve this would be more on the pvpve with a few gm's controlling special zombies perhaps.

Encouraging team play

- leveling and roles could give a purpose to the player such as to fixe priority points e.g. power stations, generators etc otherwise players could be impacted by
lower power use of all players until that is fixed

- Sim wide boss that is a threat to all

- If a team member dies in your team lose % of bonus rewards full % is given to all team members if they all survive!
