I think Second Life suffer a hacker attack. However, I have read this explanations in the page:

That has nothing to do with this. 

The whole internet has been having issues today, I have seen reports about Minecraft servers being unreachable, websites that don't work, etc.

SL is just one of the many services on the Internet that got affected by this.
