There are some data feeds listed on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Live_Data_Feeds Right now the feed shows -- signups: 23,404,924 -- that is how many avatars were created since SL started counting and have not been canceled or banned. Most of these will be inactive. logged in, last 60 days: 1,354,041 -- unique avatars who really logged in during the past 2 months.
