How does second life run on the new iMac?

Hello all :)

I am thinking about getting the new iMac model and I was wondering if anyone had one and could tell me how well it runs second life? And at what sort of settings/preformance they can get out of it.

I refer to this one:

AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

I just bought this iMac today and I'm sooo upset I can't get shadows to work on any viewer. D: D: D: I don't even get the checkbox to try, even after enabling frame buffer objects.

If anyone else has overcame this PLEASE any help is appreciated.

Hello all,

 

I just bought an iMac 27", and my problems are driving me insane... translucent avatar, shadows don't work, stuff not rezzing... and I have to start / quit SL (Second Life version 3.1.0.243176) several times to actually log in... very frustrating. 

iMac, Intel Core i5, 3,1 GHz, 16 GB,

graphic card: AMD Radeon HD 6970M (2x)  VRAM (Total) 2048 MB

Hopefully someone knows how to solve my problem, I'll post it as a new topic too, since I see mostly 'happy faces' here.
