How to Hide Characters head when using a head attachment?

Hello Second Life Community! I am very new to SL and wanted to personalize my character so decided to check out some head demo's (Specifically the SKNK shark Head) to change my characters looks, the trouble is when I applied the head, and the body shape my old characters head was still showing up (despite having taken everything off), so I wanted to ask how do I change this? How do I make the old characters head invisible. ?

in your Inventory \ Library \ Body Parts \ Alpha Masks folder is what you need to get started with

wear the alpha masks in the folder, to hide your system head only, your system feet only, or your whole system avatar
