buying the right laptop

im buying a new puter a laptop.. all the puters says they are 54 bit but the requirments says 32 bit only  will the other still work? i found one at wal mart i really want but imnot sure exactly if it will work i have a budget of a grand any help on where to buy one would be great to know thanks....

SL should work fine on a 64bit machine.

As for where to buy, I like Newegg.

Make sure you get one with a graphics card that can handle SL. I'm not sure which one(s) are good enough, though, so I can not really help with that. I do know that SL seems to have a preference for nVidia cards; they seem to work a bit better for SL than AMD/ATI.

buy at least an (i7 cpu - nvidia graphics GT2XX or 3XX - 4GB+ mem) this will increase your second life experience *meows*
